Had a box of the Italeri Gladiators set for a few years but never got around to painting any, painted these two up might start on a couple more tonight.
Will try and get some better pics done when I get some more painted.
That's pretty much how im kitting out my Garage/Mancave book shelves and cabinets on either side and a table in the middle.
Not 100% ready need to improve the lighting and seal of any areas that could get dust in then should be good to go.........enjoyed the 2nd round of pics there Harold.
Fubar that's one thing im lacking with my ACW collection some good artillery I have about 300 infantry Conte/Britains/Blackcat kits
but never did get to far with artillery I did pick up the Conte single color arty set and painted that up but never did get those resin figs.

That Roman has rather long hair....I thought the Romans were the ones that came up with the idea of short cropped hair for there troops so there enemy could not grab a hand full of hair and slice away?
Hey Tom they used to have that re-enactment every weekend at Australiana village back in 70's/80's great to se back then as a kid.
Village was closed thru out the 90's and 2000's but re-opened just a few years back thanks to some dedicated locals who wanted to preserve some Aussieland history...
The 2nd Punic War, Vin Diesel has been trying to get this off the ground for a few years now seems to have a huge interest in the subject so that's a good thing! even better he wants to arc the story over three films.
I guess it depends on who wants to take a risk and bank roll the...
I used Enamels about ten years ago I remember painting some Conte plastics that were still sticky a few weeks later.
Switched straight to Acrylics never looked backed!.............But you are talking a few years later yikes {eek3}

AIP do have a smooth surface i give them a good scrub with a tooth brush then prime.
Don't give up painting is fun and very rewarding.....and AIP figures do look good painted up!
Sounds like you have to much water mixed in before the base coat dry's?.....or maybe try the pre-mixed bottles.
I don't use them much myself so not an expert....But do use a brown ink as a wash for faces witch works well.

Yea I miss the good old days too...the late 80's to early 90's just had those great household names that everyone knew!.....and the odd dust up was just part of Origin.
