I just moved a few of my Napoleonics around on my shelf and noticed something strange. The rifle of a Black Cat Russian I worked on several years ago (which had come out quite glossy) was still tacky to the touch. Has anyone ever had this happen before?

I used Enamels about ten years ago I remember painting some Conte plastics that were still sticky a few weeks later.
Switched straight to Acrylics never looked backed!.............But you are talking a few years later yikes {eek3}

It's been at least four years. And the figure had not been exposed to heat, chemicals, etc. Some figures that I painted with Testors primer have a mild gloss and somewhat rubbery feel, but this rifle is downright sticky.

I have had issues at times with glossing an enamel onto a prior glossed figure. Never seemed to cure. The problem may have been not a proper drying time between coats. Michael
