    Things that annoy me

Agree George, last year I received One Neutral and One Negative, neither was my fault but not much I could do. I just added my note to both feedback stating my side of the 'story' and blocked one buyer. I doubt they affected my sales but I take my feedback seriously and it's disappointing that...

Thanks for the photos Mike, you certainly have plenty of space, wish I had a basement or even an attic, but you can't have everything as they say. Those wall mounted shelves provide some custom sizing for your displays. I posted an updated photo of my hobby room in my thread titled 'Display...

Display Ideas to make the most of your space.

Latest photo of my hobby room (converted 6M x 3M garage), noting sofa bed in lieu of Queen bed and lots of clothes etc from bedrooms as I'm repainting them, yes it's a mess. I'm not sure that the single brick wall would support wall mounted shelving, not worth the risk IMO. Sooo I'm thinking of...

Display Ideas to make the most of your space.

The bed and the models have gone but I'm still using these Four open display cabinets against the large East facing window. However the glass shelves are proving to be terrific dust gatherers and it's proving difficult to add enough diorama accesories to glass shelves. I am over the dust...

Display Ideas to make the most of your space.

Thank you Joe, I have lived in this small house on a lake in the Sunshine Coast for Ten years now. I am now fully retired and had some health issues that have been sorted with medication etc for now. Meanwhile I enjoy doing renovation work to the place, I helped build Two terraces down to the...

Thanks Mike, I appreciate the info about dust in your wife's glass cabinets, confirms my suspicions and I certainly intend to go back to a more diorama focused display. At this stage I'm not sure if I will use my closet/wardrobe conversion or buy new display cabinets. Looking forward to seeing...

Mike, can you please post pics of how you wall mount the shelves, I'm after some more display options as your displays look so real.

Yep, back in 2 months for the 2nd shot. I'm feeling much better now, streaming Grimm series tonight, El Cucuy is one of the best episodes, old lady ripping up the bad guys :devilish::LOL:

I suspect dust is more noticeable on my new displays as my shelves are clear glass, another reason for me to go back to my cupboard displays with fake grass etc. I may leave the cabinet doors on this time, only open up when I want to view them.

    Things that annoy me

While at the doctors yesterday I remembered the forum Shingles discussion, asked for a vaccination which he arranged in a few minutes, couldn't get a flu jab as too early in the season, still Summer here of course. Feeling a bit sore in that arm today, with a slight fever and feeling off...

    Things that I really like

Sadly she (Betty) passed a few years ago at 94, we grew closer as me and my Two sons were all she had left at the end, I was the one that had to put her in a nursing home, made me think that old age can be a mixed 'blessing' when you outlive your friends, spouse and children. She died of brain...

Similar depth to my current cabinets, a good compromise as 2'/60cm can be too deep, depends on shelf height spacing. How are you coping with the dust build up Mike?

    Things that annoy me

I've only had Two Toyotas, first was a 1979 Corona 5 door Liftback, Silver with Burgundy interior, replaced by a 1982 Camry 5 door Liftback, Silver with Grey interior, both were imported direct from Japan, and were attractive and reliable vehicles. Then switched to Aussie built GM/Holden...

    Home on the Range

I've been thinking of moving all my displays back into my large converted cabinets where I had a lot more room, and less dust as I can leave the doors on and closed if required, it's becoming a real chore cleaning the dust off them. Of course I could buy some larger enclosed glass cabinets but...

    RIP Robert Duvall

It sure was, and I actually forgot it was him, sign of a great actor when they blend in a role so convincingly.

    Things that annoy me

Yes, cars can be a bit hit or miss, I intended to buy a RAV4 but didn't like the waiting time for the latest model, I purchased a new Hyundai Santa Fe as both sons have had Hyundais/Kias for several years with few issues. My new Santa Fe has been a great car so far, the cameras and other safety...

    RIP Robert Duvall

A truly great actor, convincing in all his roles, but my favs are the Godfather movies and Open Range.

I agree with you Tom, but some people prefer to pay extra for the perceived premium brands, Toyota would be fine by be, the Toyota Avalon is considered to be one of the most reliable cars in Australia, sadly no longer available here. As for Jeep, sorry guys, I know several forum members luv...

I suspect Scottish and US Lamb Fries has Balls in it, yeah/nah, not for me and most other Aussies. Traditional Australian 'Lambs Fry' only uses liver, no balls or brains, usually with bacon pieces and onion with gravy, sometimes with extras like mashed potatoes and peas. Here's a similar...
