A great time was had by all, thanks for the hospitality, Victor, see you next time so can see your current projects 'in the flesh', rather that just the images, so I can really see the 3D aspect. They are true masterpieces 😁 John

    Behind the split-rail fence diorama.

The figures I have displayed have assembled and painted from castings about 20 years ago and were languishing on a shelf in my collection. ACW hasn't been a big interest to me, but I just loved these figures made in Australia by Paul Clarke of Shenandoah Miniatures. Recently I was sorting my...

Where to find toy soldiers in Belgium?

Mike, there are couple of shops in Brussels, do a search and you can find them. As far a regional city, the only thing that I found were at Sunday street markets where you may find old figures. Bruges John

Recommend guided tours of Royal Military Museum in Brussels?

Mike, you don't really need a guided tour, just wander around yourself, its a great museum and spend about half a day there. Waterloo is another 'Must see' place to go, and spend a day or two around the Flanders Battlefields, stay in Ypres and go to the Menin Gate for the Last Post ceremony...

Mark, you need to reposition the detachment ..... the Bombardier No2 holding the rammer is on the right and he operates the breech as well as ramming the projectile into the Breech. The No4 who is holding the projectile is on the left, and behind him is the No5 who holds the cartridge case...

They do come up for sale on Ebay occasionally, mainly by European sellers, but well worth getting. The initial set of 25 ? were made by King and Country but then they used other...

YES, great to see them, different nations and guns, exchanging fire over the battlefields. BUT ..... I am quite disanointed by the poses that are being produced by most makers. Most of these depict a gun being loaded, and to give credit, some do have the breech open, so that's appropriate...
