Hi,

I am writing to specialists in Napoleonic history and Imperial uniforms. Enclosed you will find images of a painting by Édouard Detaille depicting the Emperor and his staff.

Could you identify the numbered figures (name when possible, type of soldiers, ranks, etc.)? And provide a date/period based on the uniforms depicted?

Check out Latvian maker ArtIG, they produce many of the Marshals and maybe you can identify them on thier website http://www.artig.lv/

You can also see if you can find any Marshals / Generals that were made by Hachette in their series of 185 figures !!

They do come up for sale on Ebay occasionally, mainly by European sellers, but well worth getting.
The initial set of 25 ? were made by King and Country but then they used other Chinese makers.
