Based on his description:
"#2 - Is the new X-mas set.....comes with fireplace too!"
it appears to be included. It looks great - I can't wait for my first K&C Christmas set.
Eric
I agree - an absolute must have for me.
I am not interested in the new line - it looks fantastic but it simply isn't my thing - but there is so much other great stuff coming as well.
Eric
Have you read it, Brad? Thoughts? I have a backlog I am working through but I can always add to the stack - my wife is an avid reader and never questions the books. ;)
Eric
I would vote for Custer and the 7th - must have well done Sioux and Cheyenne figures as well - but the FFL would be nice as well.
I just finished reading A Terrible Glory by James Donovan regarding the Little Bighorn campaign. It is hands down the finest book I have read on the subject thus...
Good point, Brad. I think your observation points to why many of us have an interest/fascination with soldiers who fought on the "losing" side. Most of us on this board are citizens of countries who, in the last 70 years, have engaged in a war/conflict which generally had a sort of justifiable...
I am not the greatest photographer nor do I have a great camera so I apologize for the quality. However, I think this gives a fair representation of the size comparison. I chose a K&C figure I believe has a similar "crouch." I would say the K&C seems a tad bit larger but when I have them...
I am pumped for the season. I have my season tickets to the Kansas Jayhawks and my new flatscreen for HDTV viewing of the other college games as well as my Sunday NFL viewing marathons.
I won another fantasy title last year - as well as a pick 'em and survivor pool - so I am a bit worried this...
I have now started reading Blossoms in the Wind: Human Legacies of the Kamikaze by M.G. Sheftall. The book is an in-depth look at culture that spawned the kamikaze and delves into the psyche of the men who took up its cause in the name of country and honor. So far it is quite an interesting...
Thank you for the response, Mark. I am impressed with the photos on his site and am very intersted in the figures he offers in areas which aren't as heavily covered - especially the Plains tribes of North America. I certainly plan to contact him and wish him a quick recovery.
Eric
I am very happy with it. It fits in well with my K&C Crusaders and Saracens - it stands out, of course - and is a fantastic piece. I will certainly be purchasing others as I am able.
I just received my first true connoisseur figure - an Aeroart St. Petersberg Templar - and am looking at a few George Grasse figures. I know he was mentioned earlier in this thread but what is the overall opinion of his work? I am most looking at some of his Native American figures at the...
I was able to purchase the Viking ship at the $249 special a few weeks ago from the Conte site. It does not show the price as $249 until you add it to your cart and voila! I paid the $249 + $40 shipping and am very happy with it. Although I don't intend to collect any other Viking items it...
I just finished A Terrible Glory: Custer and the Little Bighorn The Last Great Battle of the American West by James Donovan. I have read several books on the Little Big Horn campaign but this is the best hands down. His wealth of resources - of both sides - is exhaustive and his writing style...
I am becoming a bit peckish with all of the comments thus far but for me there are two which come to mind immediately - Arthur Bryant's BBQ (original location) in Kansas City, MO and La Parilla (a South American restaurant here in Lawrence) are tops on my list.
Eric
Thanks to all of you for your recommendations.
Unfortunately, it fractured just before the bayonet so it actually a small piece of the rifle with the bayonet. I think I will first try the small groove with a bit of wire and super blue. If that fails I may have to transfer the gent to head...
