    Repainting pre-war vintage Britains

Welcome Clive, I think Mike's advice about using Humbrol gloss colours is a good place to start and don't be afraid to experiment mixing colours if you can't find a match to your liking. We used to have a member here JohnnyBach who did some excellent restorations of old Britains and their...

    COVID the 3rd

Tom, This is probably venturing into politics but you seem to be contradicting yourself here. It's hard to see how the Second lockdown in Victoria didn't work. They went from 725 new cases on 6th August to zero cases and zero deaths for the last sixteen days yesterday. Yes it has been tough...

Assistance please _ Tips on painting horsemen/cavalry

I also drill a hole in the under regions of the figure and screw in a self tapping screw. The screw can be held in my painting vice and you can hold the figure easily. Occasionally I drill another hole in the top of the saddle area and insert a pin when gluing the figure to the saddle. Most...

    Baron Takeichi Nishi

I recall reading that General Horii was known to ride his horse during the Kokoda Campaign in New Guinea in 1942 shortly before his death, albeit a white horse. Scott

WIP 18th Line Infantry 54mm Napoleonic

They do look nicely painted. However, I am not sure what they are doing in that pose. I wonder if they are from a small diorama set. Scott

What should I do? Anyone had this before?

I've never had that happen, but I have kept all the figures I have painted or given them to friends and relatives. However, that is pretty poor form if they are your work. Probably best to send him a private message first, let him know your thoughts and give him the chance to make things right...

Covid 20 Restoration- A New Hope (Prussian Hussar).

Figures always look better in primer. Need to sand down the Araldite around the bayonet.

Covid 20 Restoration- A New Hope (Prussian Hussar).

The Brunswicker is coming along slowly. I made his pack and blanket roll from Milliput. No exact science used but scaled it roughly from the First Legion figure. A paper clip has come in handy to replace the ramrod, and, after sharpening the lost bayonet. A bit of a clean up and the figure will...

Covid 20 Restoration- A New Hope (Prussian Hussar).

Thanks John, I filed down the high spots of the dent and then put some green stuff on the helmet rim last night. Sanded it down with wet/dry this morning and primed. Not perfect but will get me out of trouble with this figure. Scott
