The real size of the diorama is .... simply a visual treat. Robin I really admire the detail you've added especially the Australian Red Cross markings on the storage boxes.
Thanks for the photos. But a new challenge for me not related to fake or otherwise. I'm one for completeness and my records show I only have 12 of the 15 cavalry figures you show. I'll need to find the storage containers and double check but I probably have another 3 figures to add to my TGM...
I've tried to purchase retired K&C from Sagers only to find their remaining stock had sold despite what the website indicated. Sagers communications and quick reimbursement were exemplary.
I have no record / recall TGM releasing that cavalry figure. But back in 2011, TGM did produce six mounted SS (in spring and winter variations) - SS007 to SS012. They were very easily damaged in transit. Photo of the complete winter set:
1. The last two images are of a bespoke build - Nazi banners made for my Berlin '38 collection. If I suspend the image of pure evil the swastika has come to represent, the bespoke build is truly spectacular. Each banner wall is 30cm x 30cm.
In February 2019, I purchased six new display cabinets for my K&C collection. All will be on display to visitors except the cabinet devoted to Berlin '38. This cabinet is in a bedroom. Collecting massed Nazi's can be so easily misinterpreted.
The cabinets have led lights and are 2m (h) x 1m (w)
Berlin '38 parade troops, 'dignitaries' and civilians;Wehrmacht command, signals and supply troops; and some more late war Kriegsmarine combat troops wouldn't go astray.
The KingsX speciality figures (less the DD098 variation; KX026 and KX027). Image previously posted on this forum in 2011 and includes two non speciality figures.
