    Lakers and Celtics

Hey, don't talk smack about the Yankees! (And at least you have teams that do somewhat well . . . look at NYC-area NBA teams: The Knicks and . . . the useless Nets! Thankfully, I'm anti-*ets... hate the Mets, Jets, and the Nets!) - a Yankees fan; son of a Brooklyn Dodgers fan

    South Africa 2010

Does anybody know what the farthest a team ever got in the World Cup without winning a single game?

    South Africa 2010

I must admit, I don't follow the sport, and would rather watch a good NASCAR race than soccer/futbol. (I'm also not enchanted with the NBA, but that may be in part because I remember watching the Knicks in the 1970's . . . today's NBA seems more like a bunch of showboating clowns in general who...

    College sports - moving conferences

I find these groups very misleading with their names anyway . . . here they are, institutes of higher learning, and they can't even count!! (And I'm a graduate of the eleventh school in the big ten!:rolleyes:)

    Anyone Watch WWE?

Okay, I'll throw in a contrary view: SOME "career" politicians are GOOD, while others are closer to self-serving scum of the earth. Experience CAN be helpful to a politician (and the voters!) if it allows said politician to act to the benefit of the people he/she serves. SOMETIMES, a...

    Anyone Watch WWE?

I think they actually had to come out and admit that WWF/WWE is actually "entertainment" and not a "sport" because of gambling laws/regulations in New Jersey years ago. (Like, back in the 1980's or 1990's maybe?)

    Anyone Watch WWE?

YOU may think it's funny, but we have friggin' Linda McMahon (Vince's wife) running for U.S. Senate (Chris Dodd's seat) here in Connecticut!! (Oh, and the "wrestling" itself is not my cuppa, either.)

New York City and New Hampshire temps?

Is this what you're talking about? "Main Concourse - The most widely recognizable train terminal room in the world, with its famed Sky Ceiling, is the best location to orient yourself. You cannot miss the center information booth that has the four-face brass clock on top." (From...

Civil War Veterans in Family Tree?

My oldest sister is working on the family tree, and while she's found some links to the Revolutionary War period, nothing yet on any ancestors in the Civil War!

BIG PROJECT-it is concern you too

No, there aren't particular stamps that are available only from one state . . . the differences would be in the postmarks the envelopes are mailed from and would also depend on which stamp a person chooses to use. (I don't know how many options there are for postage stamps elsewhere, but if you...

    super deetail

It depends on what you want them for. I own several of the Civil War and Western figures . . . I like them, but mainly because of price difference vs. metal. But as with any plastic figures, the detailing isn't quite as nice as on metal, and the bent/warped weaponry on many can be annoying.

BIG PROJECT-it is concern you too

If you want, you could even expand it to different STATES here in the United States. (We've got 50 of them.) :)
