    Ice station zebra

Being an old Aussie I also have fond memories of the now classic movies from the 1970's, Waterloo and the Battle of Britain being stand outs to me. I recently watched the Battle of Britain on Netflix and the 'bloody flying goggles' scene was almost as horrific and impressive on my large tv...

    Battle for Arnhem....

Looks like that particular Moron has moved on, but suspect he will reappear under another name soon enough, it's what they do.

    BP42 Armoured Train

Good question, that looks like a modern repaint to me, and there's always the exception to the 'rule' where WW2 paint schemes are concerned.

Life is Good at the Beach

Hey Mike, I hope you enjoyed your week at the beach. Yesterday was our shortest day Downunder, I'm now looking forward to longer days and the end of Winter, hurry up 31st August.

Agree, sadly their figures weren't so good.

    New Releases

Hi Arty, I actually do have a record on this forum as being more focused on scale and accuracy than most collectors having a long term interest in the technology of modern warfare and building scale kits etc. My main interest is in WW2 tanks, especially German, therefore I am more concerned...

    Bored Tonight...Post a Diorama, LOL

True, not many people actually like change or improvements, especially as we age. Toy Soldiers are a good 'constant' but even they are now very different from the original Glossy Toys Soldiers that people collected back in the day. That said, you can't avoid new technology, I'm looking forward...

    Bored Tonight...Post a Diorama, LOL

Steve, to clarify my 'Nothing to see here' post. I gave up trying to work out how to complete an earlier post using the Quote Reply options, I decided to just make another post and left 'Nothing to see here' as my attempt at comedy :)

    Bored Tonight...Post a Diorama, LOL

Personally I'm old school in most things, prefer figures in a diorama any day.

Steve, thanks for that, never heard of them, but certainly are an interesting regiment. I searched their history and came up with an artist new to me 'John Everett Millais' who painted 'The Black Brunswicker' amongst other excellent paintings. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Black_Brunswicker

Steve, delightful dios mate, are those Black uniformed troops Prussians or a special regiment?

    July

I'd like to see more WW2 sets, and Robbers for the Gold Rush range.

    New Releases

The model looks larger than 1/35 scale, and good enough accuracy for purpose. I think some of you artillery guys are sometimes OTT with your needs for accuracy, e.g. if required number of crew were made, the set would be too expensive.

    Things that annoy me

I only had one childhood home, left it when I was 18 years old, then lived in over 30 other dwellings in a lot of towns during time working in a bank etc. The hottest town was Bourke, in Western New South Wales, and considered to be the start of the 'Outback', the coldest was Guyra NSW which is...

    TROPHY.

He has accussed the owners of almost every TS company of cheating him, usually not long after he was praising them. It's easy enough to buy TS molds, but does that give you sole rights to their entire range, and of course a lot of collectors have copied or modified figures over the years, and...

    Things that annoy me

I don't know what changed here as prices are pretty stable now but a few months back petrol could be under $1.70 one week then over $2.20 the next, up and down every week or so like a yo yo, it was like that for years. As for paying, still the same here, go into the shop and pay after pumping...
