    2024 W.Britain's Collectors' Club Figures

I would also suggest to those on the fence that Britians hosts annual symposiums, which are a wealth of knowledge, great fun, and an opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind items. I understand that this may be a greater selling point for those in the U.S., but the symposium experience is excellent...

    New Art of War figures

I agree with you completely. I would love to see the 1812 Ohio rifleman turned into a Britains figure.

Plastic troops in the back of comic books

I remember seeing those ads too. Back in the 1970s, I had Britains Deetail figures. I saw those ads and couldn't believe that you could get so many toy soldiers for such a low price. One of my friends did get the AWI set. I remember that it was rather disappointing. He also had 1:72 Airfix...

    Question about JJD Armor

Thanks for the offer, but the photos you posted are fine for me. Thanks for taking the time. Pete

    Question about JJD Armor

I have a question about JJD WWII armor (or armour, if you prefer). A number of years ago, I purchased a set from the Old Northwest Trading Company called ETO-07 "The Hell Machine". The set consists of 4 panzergrenadiers and an assault gun commander torso. They were intended for use with...

    Collectors club figures 2016

I would think that 4 figures would be the bare minimum, and six offerings would give collectors a number of good choices. Just by looking at the space devoted to each range in the catalog, I would guess that you would need to offer figures in ACW, AZW, WWI, and Waterloo just to keep the...

What would collectors like to see from W. Britain in the future.

I'd like to join those who have already expressed a desire for more ACW Western Theater subjects. Specifically, I'd like to see: 8th Wisconsin -- assault up Graveyard road at Vicksburg. 21st Ohio -- defense of Horseshoe Ridge at Chickamauga. Wilder's Lightening Brigade at Hoover's Gap...

    If They Were a Million

Thanks for the encouragement Brendan. I'm looking forward to tackling some more ACW scenes as time allows. I used a piece of styrofoam for the diorama base. I created the road by using a chisel to cut the base and make a sunken road with ruts. As the Battle of Shiloh took place after several...

    If They Were a Million

I've been collecting Britains ACW figures for a number of years now. For a long time, I've intended on putting my collection in dioramas, but I've only recently started. This is my first attempt at creating a diorama. 6 April 1862, daybreak, near the main Corinth road, just south of Pittsburg...

    Help identifying

The set appears in the 2001 Britains catalog as U.S. 101st Paratroopers, Heavy Weapons. I can't make out the set number clearly. It looks like 17141 to me. I didn't see the set in either the 2000 or 2002 catalog, so it doesn't appear to have been available for long.

Look What I found on W. Birtain's Facebook Page - Nice Job Ken

Does anyone know if the ACW mortar and crew will be sold as a set, or will the gun and crew figures be sold separately?

    Britain's ACW 17825

I picked up a set back in 2006 too. It is one of the best Collector's Club sets that has been offered in the last 10 years, in my opinion. I would like to see more CC sets of this type in the future.

    American Civil War MIA

Yes, Western Federals would be a great addition to the ACW line.

    American Civil War MIA

More Western theater personalities are needed. In addition to Cleburne (a great first choice), how about Hardee, Forrest, and perhaps W.H.T. "Hell-fighting Billie" Walker? For the Federals, Sherman, Thomas, and Logan would be welcome figures.

    Britains ACW releases for 2014

There are some great ideas in these posts. I really like the Troop Hurt house at Atlanta. That is a major landmark featured in the Atlanta Cyclorama. There is alot of dramatic action in that scene. I would like to see more artillery equipment and personnel too. Perhaps a mounted officer...

    Britains ACW releases for 2014

Personally, I would like to see more ACW sets depicting the Western Theater. The suggestion of Confederates behind cotton bales at Atlanta is very good. I'd like to see Federals in shell jackets (such as Ohio or Illinois patterns) and undecorated Hardee hats or slouch hats. Another Keith...

    Clash of Empires

I heard that this range was to be inclusive of the Seven Years War (F&I over here) through the Napoleonic era. If so, we might see more than French, British and American troops. We will probably know for sure in several days. I would think that this range will be unveiled in Chicago next week.

    Latest ACW releases from Britains............

Ken, Thanks for the posts of the new pictures. The figures look great. I see some additional Federals that are not in the latest catalog. Will these be coming out later, or are they "one-offs" for the diorama? Also, I can't tell from the pictures in the catalog -- are all the Federals in...
