Can anybody identify this set for me please.

It came in a box which says '17141 US 101st Airbourne - 60mm mortar crew', which obviously it isn't!

It is the US Airborne 101 Div, Browning 30 cal machine gun set I am pretty sure.

I think I have it somewhere in my collection. I bought the Britains 1:32 WW2 stuff as that's my fav scale.

We at R4A are currently working on a US Airborne 30 cal set, and will be doing a jeep mounted 50 cal version too.

The set appears in the 2001 Britains catalog as U.S. 101st Paratroopers, Heavy Weapons. I can't make out the set number clearly. It looks like 17141 to me.

I didn't see the set in either the 2000 or 2002 catalog, so it doesn't appear to have been available for long.

Pete,
I also got this set new some 8 or 9 years ago, and like yours, it came in the 'mortar' box, so I presume there was a shortage of the 30cal boxes, or a mix up on a larger scale when they were packaged.

For whatever it is worth to you, I also received this set in the "17141 US 101st Airbourne - 60 mm mortar crew" box when I purchased it new some years ago.

I've done a search on ebay, and it seems that all of these sets were labelled as 'mortar crew' on the boxes!

My favourite is WB17247 WW2 German 155 mm Field Gun.

Which has an American Crew! ^&confuse
