The only german soldiers to wear blue gray unifroms were Luftwaffe ground troops. Despite common misconceptions Fallschirmjager wore Feild gray (green gray) jump trousers and helmets in combat. I don't know where the "blue" stuff is coming from. I think it is a description of neutral stone...

Yes definately agree the newer figures are somewhat smaller. The new marching DAK figure cf his earlier brothers... Guess some guys were smaller than others! The smaller sizes make them almost between 1/30(classic K and C) and 1/32 .....

Beautiful display! However the British square was never "broken". At Quatre Bras the 92nd Highlanders were caught unformed.... At Waterloo the Inniskillen fusiliers (Ulster) were found all dead, but still laying in a square.
