It would be great to see mid-late war FJ's! Some Fausts and schrecks other wise the same models repainted with splinter and sumpf cammies! Also some cammies with tropical trousers and shirts (with tan helmet paint). For N Africa Sicily and Italy)
But please: NO Blue trousers and no blue helmets...
Very glad to see this new set of Army soldiers! They are superb! They seem inspired by actual footage of German (panzer)grenadiers marching into the line in June 1944 in Normandy. (particularly some see in the French Miltiaria magazine of 2nd Pz div)
Scuplting and animation are as excellent as...
At Tamai the 42 charged (under orders) out of square formation leaving a gap. That is certainly not the same as having the "square broken", by the enemy action.
Point is this, the square formed by resolute trained infantry with ammo was not broken by cavalry action! (The main point of a...
The only german soldiers to wear blue gray unifroms were Luftwaffe ground troops.
Despite common misconceptions Fallschirmjager wore Feild gray (green gray) jump trousers and helmets in combat.
I don't know where the "blue" stuff is coming from. I think it is a description of neutral stone...
Yes definately agree the newer figures are somewhat smaller. The new marching DAK figure cf his earlier brothers...
Guess some guys were smaller than others! The smaller sizes make them almost between 1/30(classic K and C) and 1/32 .....
Beautiful display!
However the British square was never "broken".
At Quatre Bras the 92nd Highlanders were caught unformed....
At Waterloo the Inniskillen fusiliers (Ulster) were found all dead, but still laying in a square.
Moisin and Nagant would be dissapointed by the lack of rifles.......
Guys - you need Russians to fight the Germans! Especially for battle of Berlin as their weren't too many brits, americans and french there! (except in german SS uniforms!)
Remember the numbers of germans fighting the russians...
German army uniforms color depends on year of war. WSS generally followed Army unforms with addition of cammoflage from early war onwards
1939-40
Field gray jackets and stone gray trousers (K C do all their germans in this early war scheme, if not wearing cammies)
field gray was green-blue...
Must say the late war germans from Kand C look superb!
Although erroneously listed under Waffen SS on our site here - they do have the WS prefix, and are listed under Normandy.
They are clearly Army troops however! Must say that some of these figures have a "look" of "Cross of Iron" - that...
Many thanks for all the positive comments guys. I think I am "hooked" back into a hobby I haven't been into for 25years! I recently pulled out some tamiya and airfix plastic conversions I did back in pre-married days!
(I have been detoured into 1/72 and 1/44 wargame figures, as well as a stint...
History and progression Brit, french and US styles- all different.
French had em first in ww1 - famed chassuer alpins - all the brits had were the scottish tams and Irish versions (cobbeans?)(I guess our celtic friends don't consider these berets?)
WW2 Brits red -paras, black tanks, and green...
Here are some re-paints where I created 2 wehrmacht army soldiers from the Afrika Korps marching figure, and a waffen ss kneeling figure.
Some may think the waffen SS figure looks less colorful but have never understood why he had 2 cammie zeltbahn rolls! I have repainted his roll in brown-grey...
Hello, I'm new to the forum . Interested in WW2 stuff in particular, esp German. (non SS)
Notice there are few standard German Army (wehrmacht) figures availiable now as this range was discontinued. Are there any plans to revamp this line to align wih the early war french and british troops? I...
