One of my favorite K&C models is the Steyr 1500 Funkkraftwagen. Here are a few shots with it displayed...
Hi Duke,
Fantastic vehicle and I love your winter images. Your diorama is very well done; love the ground and trees. What a great setting for any of your toy soldier/vehicle collection. I always like when K&C offers a certain vehicle in more than one paint scheme. I own the Afrikakorps Funkkraftwagen and it's one of my more favorite vehicles - solid, heavy, with a nice paint scheme.
Again, really nice diorama! :salute::
Hi Duke,
congrats again on another fine little presentation...Although it's usually the 'Tigers' and 'Panthers' that attract the most attention it's always good to see the lesser known German military vehicles making an appearance once in a while.
Like you I have a 'soft spot' for some of these rarer pieces and whenever possible K&C likes to produce them in different 'guises' for different 'Theatres of War'...
Best wishes and happy collecting!
Andy.
Thanks Rob I appreciate that. I don't have the DAK version but does look like a nice model as well.
Thanks for that Andy. Like you say, "Tigers" and "Panthers" might get the most attention, but for me it's sometimes the not so well known AFV's that are really interesting to collect. Thanks to you and the K&C team for having the vision to produce so many of the less common vehicles of WWII that provides us collectors with so many choices. Well done my friend.
Duke
Almost pulled the trigger on this vehicle several times over the years, always liked it, but it never made it my way. Good to see you are making a neat scene with it. Robin.
Great dio Duke, I love the background with the rocks and trees , typical for the Belgian Ardennes.
I have the funkwagen in my collection as well, must do something with it one day.

Big fan of the 'ugly's' as some call them or the left of centre vehicles that often get over looked or forgotten by many main stream manufacturers.
Andy and the team at K&C produce many such vehicles and they display so well in my opinion and add an extra dimension to the usual popular makes and models that are shared.
Thanks for posting Duke and I look forward to seeing more of your dio's using similar AV's.:salute::
Cheers.
