Airfix 1/32nd 1911 Ford and Duke of Lancasters Own Yeomanry

Hi all

This little vignette is titled "Ïs he one of Yours?"

The backstory is about a boy Trumpeter getting himself into a bit of strife with the local constabulary.
The Yeomanry unit represented in forms of uniform dress is The Duke of Lancasters Own Yeomanry as the first Ford factory in the UK was at Trafford Park, a suburb of Manchester, England.

The Airfix 1910 Ford was purchased through a local NZ on line auction site made up, badly I might add. Model was fixed up where possible and paint redone where required. Drive train was added as Airfix did not include one on this particular model.

Car was painted with Humbrol enamels. My reworks with Tamiya acrylics.
All other painting carried out with Army Painter acrylic paint.

The first two figures are both from Tradition. The boy has been converted as per pic.

All the car passengers are from Asset figures with modification.

First up is the Sergeant Driver who was made up from an Asset sitting gent in frock coat and top hat. Loads of conversion work there.

Here is a pic of the first two passengers and Mr Plod and Trumpeter

And lastly with the third passenger

And a pic of the slightly bemused Officer thinking "Jankers for you me lad".

This figure had sword and sabertache added.

As from Tradition, a Squadron figure.

Well done! I like your modifications and painting, and the story! Very clever!

Prost!

Nice scene and great conversions. Love the subject and the paint-job - I bet it would have worked in gloss as well{sm4}
Thank you for sharing.

Love this vignette Rod you have created both in story and modelling. Well done to you.

Cheers,

Thank you. And yes all of my stuff would work well in gloss. One day I might unleash the dear old gloss rattle can.
