“A Summer Country Road” (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys,

As I’ve said before some diorama pieces lend themselves to a range of different historical periods and interpretations. Here is just one such example – Gordon’s dio of a little stretch of country road somewhere in Europe.

You can see it works well for a road in the Ardennes in the summer of 1940…

It works equally as well for Normandy in the month of June 1944…

Finally, more than a century earlier the Emperor Napoleon confers with some of his generals escorted by a troop of Guard Cavalry…

At the upcoming Chicago Show this dio will feature our new American Airborne figures.

It's amazing how Jerry armour progressed through the war, 3 tanks and a halftrack fitted on the dio as opposed to 1 tank and a tank destroyer!

I like the way in the "Normandy" diorama the officers in the "Orders" group around the schwimwagen seem totally unfazed by the Jagdpanther commander excitedly loosing off his pistol just behind them!

Love the scene with Napoleon and his escort of Horse Grenadiers, and especially seeing the 'lady' and the cart offering her refreshments
