Hi Guys,

Somewhere in Belgium, December 1944...the aftermath of a brutal little skirmish that never made it into the history books!

This new dio is another that is heading to Chicago in the next few days...We’re hoping to show it with several new “winter releases” in the Windy City. But in the meantime there is this...Enjoy!

Best wishes and happy collecting!

Andy C.

P.S. Gordon would have written this but he’s still chained to his workbench!!!

" Somewhere in Belgium ... " you had me there for a moment, I thought you were referring to a village called Mont Saint Jean {sm2}.
Nevertheless, a great looking piece below and looking forward to seeing more from K&C in Chicago. :salute::

Another beauty, thanks for posting Andy and I hope you are feeding poor old Gordon while he is chained to that workbench! {sm4}

I am not sure if they had Stella-Artois lite until October 1945.
Will have to check on that

It's a nice dio and Stella Artois was certainly around in 1945.
but I - being a Belgian- can spot immediately a small mistake in the advertising panel . Advertising in the Ardennes in 1945 was in French and French only !!!!!!!
guy:)

A dirty old road, a battle scared wall, a few pines, a dusting of snow and the scene is set.....magic stuff.

Another beautiful duo! Hum...The image is too small but I`m spotting at least a new winter Sherman and a couple of new dead winter Germans....

I was wondering about whether the Shermans are new. I expect when the diorama is displayed in Chicago it will feature the "winter" version of the Panther G released a few months ago.

Seems the timing is right for this one and K&C did say a winter version was due in 2014. I'm looking forward to seeing what the Winter Panther G looks like.

Was looking to the picture again and there’s a big possibility that those Shermans might be the retired "wounded Sherman". But the dead Germans are definitely new... Want to see that late Panther in winter cammo too!

Looks more to me like the "plastic" Sherman re-painted in Winter camo {sm4}

Definitely not the "wounded Sherman" as that Sherman hull pictured is totally different.

The "Wounded Sherman" was an M4A1 with rounded hull edges, the tanks in the photo have sharp edged hulls (welded hulls) so they are either new or they are modified from the mediocre KnC M4A2.

Yes, you both are right, I didn't notice this when I saw the pictures the second time. My first reaction was that they were new, and I hope they are, because they appear to be better detailed than the plastic KnC Sherman.

Doesn't Stella date back to the 1300's? Although I think it wasn't actally brewed under the name Stella Artois until the early 1900's.

Pa: The brewery dates back to the year 1366. It was known under the name "Den Hoorn" ( The horn) .In 1708 Sebastian Artois became master brewer and gave his name to this pils.
( I should know because during my career I was the Sales Manager for Artois in Flanders for 7 years)

To me the Shermans look like the winter version of the earlier released plastic one
