Hi Guys,
In addition to taking lots of pix of the Briscoe Museum’s Alamo we also tried to take a short bit of video…Here it is…

Enjoy!

That's brilliant....

all I can think is seeing the massed ranks of blue coated soldiers wearing shakos is NAPOLEONIC WARS ....

Bring them on Andy...... more of this sort of figure to make massed ranks in battle.

:) :)

John

new figure spotted 2.27 ish is an officer walking with pistol by wall .

What an awesome display! I don't recall ever seeing so many figures in a single diorama. Thanks for sharing.

This dio is brilliant, unique! Congratulations! As for the resin innovation, many questions in the air, among those, let's see what or if this new resin technique can bring in terms of cheapening the cost to collectors in order to acquire multiples.

I agree with that one John{sm3}

As I said on another Alamo thread.......

"Andy,
Great story and great pictures on the other thread on the subject. I love those massed ranks of infantry.
Now how about doing the same with a model of Hougoumont and/or Le Haye Sainte at Waterloo?
I understand they are turning part of the Hougoumont building into a museum for the 200th anniversary of the battle in 2015.
If the organisers could see your Alamo diorama I bet they would jump at the chance.
Great place to set-up your K&C "stall" as well. Imagine how many visitors that place will get over the next few years.
Great place to introduce some K&C resin/plastic Napoleonics. Lot of families with kids to introduce into the hobby.......go on you know it makes sense.
By the way if it does happen and it makes you a millionaire please remember who suggested it."

I think I'll keep re-posting this until Andy gives in...............or I get thrown off the forum^&grin
Cheers
Paul

Very enjoyable video of a terrific dio, thanks for posting Andy

Its the music from the original score to the John Wayne version . It is the only tune for it .

Call me anal but James Butler Bonham would be better without a flag as the only flag flown by the defenders was the New Oreleans Gray flag which was captured and to this day resides in a mexican vault .

That is funny. When I viewed the video i was thinking what a great musical choice, "Green Leaves of Summer".

Walt

walt,
The music really affected me, it threw me back vividly to the time when I was a young boy and my parents were alive and young and the world was innocent and full of excitement, I've been feeling weird all day since....

Yes, it can be a haunting tune. Not sure if everyone remembers but Quentin Tarentino used it again in "Inglorious Bastards".
