Hi Guys,

Fear not there are more additions to our Desert Village planned…Including a number of walls and corner pieces that will help connect different areas.

Please however remember that it’s not always possible to meet every collector’s needs, wants and requirements as and when everyone wishes. I wish it were so but there’s still only 24 hours in a day and just 7 days in a week!

Rest assured I’m not leaving anyone “hanging” just trying to do what we can do…when we can do it. And I do read all of the Forum notes as well..Your wishes will not be ignored or rejected…Promise!

All the best guys and…happy collecting.

Andy C.

Always on the lookout for new desert village buildings. Nice to know this series has some depth yet to come. Works across so many era's. :salute::, Robin.

good news...I collect all the SP structures...2-3 of some pieces...my wall and gate sections don't line up perfectly...especially the walkplanks...is this something on your agenda that you might address with a corner tower section?

and all this from a man who can not only build whatever he wants, but does a better job too.^&grin, Robin.

Hi Robin,

Like you and the others I am counting on Andy's note and commitment to providing us this so much needed " depth" to the Middle East village and fortification series....after all who has seen a Middle East village without a proper ring wall....and main gate:eek:;)^&grin....would be great to see them ......
Cheers

Like you guys I'm glad Andy is going to build more Desert buildings.Like guys on this forum I like building structures with foam board. Here are some pics of the structures I've built to blend in with the K&C Desert buildings that I collect.I built a corner tower to match up with the K&C wall SP036 and gateway SP031.I also built a house similar to the K&C SP062.I also built a wall with the same dimensions as SP031 but not as detailed as the K&C ,but it blends in well with the others.001.JPG002.JPG 003.JPG 005.JPG 007.JPG

absolute fantastic job on the tower and small building....

you really nailed the colors...it looks like it was painted at the K&C factory...

love the tile floor inside the tower...

great brick work...

FABULOUS!!!!

Thanks Mike,as you know from all the great work you do it takes more time blending paint colors and washes to get it close enough than sometimes building the structures.

yes...so true...I can't tell you how many times I have re-painted some things to match...

yes it's difficult...imagine being color blind...

but you look like you got a perfect match...

Hi Hector,
Congratulations on your initiative and skill, you have nailed the issue on the head......I look forward that Andy and the TEAM are Reading this thread so as to see what we are really missing in the Desert Fortification series....A CORNER TOWER that blends and matches to the walls and gate.....And for sure more walls....{sm4}:salute::Once again very good work and as Mike said you matched the colours to the dot.....

Hi Hector,

Your reproduction of the fortress walls is very interesting indeed, what was the material used? Plaster?
Given the slow response time from King & Country in coming up with a new set of walls and possible corner towers for us collectors to increase our dio options do you consider taking orders? Please send me a Private note if so.....

Cheers

Ops....Just a quick follow up....sorry if I forgot to mention that these corner walls would also benefit our co collectors in the areas of:
All currently traded segments of K&C offerings.....
WW1 - Empire Armies in the Middle East
Egyptians
Romans
Arabs and Nativity
Napoleon's Egyptian Adventure
WW2 - DAK and Rommel Fans
WW2 - Italians
WW2 - 8TH Army.....
Quite a list of possible options to increase sales not only of the segments themselves but also a sure channel for the referred additional fortification requirements.....
Cheers

Andy, thanks for the village walls ....but we would love corner towers and battlements......
How can we grow our Australian, Turk or Frech Foreign Legion dios...without them

Since we have two identical threads with your identical posts I suppose I should post in both.

The wall gate is no longer available from King and Country or showing as in stock at three major USA dealers. So they are definitely not "slow moving" or stuck in anybodies inventory.
