While K&C does not come up with more fortifucation walls and not just crimbling village walls....we keep waiting and improvising...see my new French Foreign Legion Fort layout....:salute::{sm2}

In the recent release we had a modest move towards providing us with more props for the Desert/Middle East Dios by the release of some crumbling walls. These are nice and ok to enlarge the Desert Village options but falls extremely short of what we really need which are corner towers and more fortifications....Strange enough K&C has fantastic sets that can accomodate our needs and attached are a couple of the examples....mind that these are part of one off dios that were done by K&C for specific photo shoots and today must be with some lucky collector......I tried to see if a rerun of them could be ordered and K&C happly gave me quotes excluding packing and shipping...{sm4}{sm2}...unfortunately a bit too much for my budget as we speak....But I can only transate that to it being done on special order and not mass produced.....I guess that if mass produced at least a 50% reduction in overall costs would happen due to volume out put...or even due to the fact that the sets could be furhter broken down in two or more subsets and then come at a reasonable price, giving us collectors an additional chance to come up with unique set ups....
Andy and Team .... any chance of us seeing these or something in these lines any time soon?

Quoting Robin....It would be nice to be able to have a dedicated fort for my Heritage British Infantry protecting the recently conquered Sudan....but while we wait Andy and the crew to figure that their is business still in this and come up with a proposal, we once more show how versatile a Desert Fort line would be.....{sm4}:salute::Here I have my K&C Desert set manned by Heritage British Infantry supported by a Heritage Naval Contingent protected by JG Miniature trench sections along with a Premier British General Service wagon/driver - an old Trophy soldier ( currently sourcing for a better driver ^&grin^&grin ) and some additional JG Miniature props...and finally some Steasfast/Buldog Artillery pieces...^&cool

This weekend I sent some quality time with by eldest son putting together a frontier outpost using some ( of the few {sm2}{sm2} ) Desert village sets made by K&C .... I was very surprised by the outcome and how it could easily work for Victorian troops in India, Sudan and French Foreigh Legion.....In a sequence of posts I will share with you all the great diorama that came out of a few ideas and lots of imagination......Next time I will adapt the desert buildings to 1920s 1930s British presence in the Middle East....{sm4}{sm4}

Hi All Desert Fortification lovers like me.....I have gone to the K&C Website and to my happy surprise the straight wall section is back in stock http://www.kingandcountry.com/desert-village-wall-p-6781.html
Hurray for those of us that are short on wall sections....^&grin...
May be now we can request Andy and the team to give us corner walls or towers to match to the straight walls....and we can start getting the resemblance of a fort going......:salute:::salute::
