“Eastern Front Junkers 52” (1 Viewer)

I have eight of the Connoiesseur style and I take a photo of the plane in the box so I know how to re-pack it if I have to move. I also save the boxes. This plane probably cost around $2,500. If you will go to Bill Sager's site, you will see a list (with photos and prices) of the ones that have been made. I, along with Louis, Lawrence Lo and Hans Hedrich have many of the early ones.

WOW like i said when are we getting a "Poorman's"Eastern front plane........................^&grin

The cost of the Airplane is 2,500.00$. But you need to add transport, add custom duties and the plane when you have it at your door is more around 3,500.00$.

So thats a big chunk of money.

I do own 16 conoisseurs airplane from K&C . They are really beautifully made.

I do have 4 displayed in my cabinet, but like many of us i do miss space to put my other airplane.

I do have 2 Big Lancasters waiting to find space.

I will show later today the worst diorama ever seen from a collector (me).^&grin

Thanks

Serge

I forgot to include shipping, which was the factor that prevented me from buying one a few months ago. The one good thing about shipping is that it's overnight from HK. With these models, the less time they're in the air the better.

Speaking of junkers how about this one (Manfred von Richthofen). I see on the K&C website only 3 ever produced. I also saw in an old brochure that K&C did a special order horsa glider for the market gardens release if anyone bought one would love to see the pic!

Serge

I overcame the issues of postage and possible damage in transit by flying from Australia to Hong Kong and collecting my Warbird in person.

The only negative was the fact it cost A$6700.00 to do so!

Cheers

Scott
