Hi Guys,

I am writing this just a couple of hours before Gordon and me fly out to California and later on to Chicago.

We just got delivery of the brand-new issue #39 of “COLLECTOR”… It’s one of the biggest yet 34 jam-packed pages of new figures, old favorites, fighting vehicles and a whole big bunch of Chicago bound dioramas and displays. It also contains our first-ever K&C “Gatefold” 3 page cover which features Gordon’s massive 54” x 22” diorama of a Turkish train being ambushed by T.E. Lawrence’s Arab Bedouins and a troop of Australian Light Horse!!! I’m not saying it actually happened…but it could have…

We’ll be distributing copies at this weekend’s SIERRA TOY SOLDIER gathering as well as in Chicago.

If you’re not at Sierra or in Chicago contact your favorite K&C dealer to get a copy. If all of that fails join the K&C Online Collectors Club and you’ll get a whole lot more besides!

So adios for now…see some of you guys in the very near future.

All the best and happy collecting.

Andy C.

Nice, Looking forward to getting it Andy ! I have collector issues #4 through #38. #39 will be a welcome addition :salute:: If anyone has extra issues of #1-4 and willing to part with please send me a PM. Cheers !

Wow I have a thing about trains, coupled with the ALH all too much. Thank goodness this train is a one off, otherwise my retirement savings would be in threat. :salute::, Robin.
ps still would like the building to be produced, overdue for something desert village.

love this one.
I hope he's lying in my mailbox soon.

have a nice show Andy.
And greetings to the whole K & C team.

Harrie :salute::

Andy mate,
What a great way to start a Chicago Show with a fantastic new collector magazine and an truly awesome ALH Dio. Just love the way Gordon has blended in that train. Also a great sprinkling of LH, turks and Lawrence's boys. Can't way to get my hands on both.
Only five days to go.
Cheers Howard

PS That Dio really needs to end up in the Land of OZ^&grin^&grin^&grin

Very nice dio. We might need to start a petition to get the train items made.

Have a great show Howard and Andy and all other forum members who are going.

Yes, it's an awesome dio and a wonderful looking train. I also have a thing about trains Robin and it took great restraint on my part to not make an offer for Howard's train!

Howard, I hope your wife doesn't go on the forum otherwise she would have a heart attack reading the last bit! {sm4}

Have a safe trip mate.

If you start one Brett then i'll sign it although I wonder how many people that would sign the petition would end up buying the train items...{sm2}

When will this issue of The Collector be viewable on the K & C Web site? Before , during or after the Chicago Show?

Hi K&C,

I second Villagehorse/Robin here the Turkish fort is just great and would be a fantastic add on diorama that you could release so that we could complement our Middle East WW1 war theater with some buildings....I have been using the desert village sets you released a couple of years ago but they can go up to a certain level of back drop....this little fort would be ideal......Any chace of it coming soon???

What a huge issue! The collector is starting to be the size of a Sears catalogue!{sm3} I always enjoy viewing and reading the Collector and think it is very integral to the K&C brand. Keep up the good work. ^&cool

In keeping with the traditions on the forum, I must point out that your statement is historically inaccurate as the pony express stopped running in the 1800's. Also, in the continued tradition of the forum the scale is wrong, they did not use ponies they used full sized horses.

Last but not least, do you know if issue #40 will be made in resin, plastic or polystone?

Yes indeed ! Issue 39 is chock full of goodies and great segments to read. Definitely a good one with the rear pull out section.

Sorry to be a pain fella's, but is anyone else on this Thread having no luck opening the second page of the Thread. Over the last 2/3 weeks I've had limited success being able to scroll through any Thread started by K&C? Anyone else having these types of problems or is it just me?

Feedback and solutions gratefully accepted.

Cheers Toddy
