Hi Guys,

As many of you know when we launched our last release of German WW2 Medics, Doctors, Nurses, Wounded and Ambulances we put them all together in one of Gordon’s dioramas “Feldlazaret 254” and took it off to the “WestCoaster”.

As expected it sold immediately to a dedicated K&C California Collector. Actually I think we could have sold it a couple of times more as there were plenty of “oohs and ahhs” both in our show room and downstairs in the ballroom on the day itself.

Another regular collector of Gordon’s work commissioned an even larger version for delivery to the upcoming “Texas Show” (24/25 May) and here it is…

The original “Field Hospital” measured 24” x 18” …The new one stretches to 36” x 18” and includes additional detail such as a partial office on the 1st Floor…Large doors on the vehicle entrance way and…part of a cemetery to the left of the front of the hospital.

Before the model is “shipped” to Texas we are displaying it at our Annual “Meet ‘n’ Greet” at King & Country’s flagship Hong Kong store in Pacific Place tonight. So if any of you are nearby this evening stop in between 6 and 8. I know it might just be a wee bit more difficult if you’re reading this in Europe, Australasia, the States or elsewhere but you know you are always welcome.

And as we always say if any of you ever get to HK there is a standing invitation up to Head Office. In the meantime best wishes to one and all and…happy collecting!

Andy C.

Very nice mate who could not like or that GREY,so whens the GREY Opel coming mate it must be on the radar with all the GREY paint splashing around in China.................^&grin

wow...

this is ridiculous nice and extremely intricate...

I'm looking forward to a better look at it in Texas...

and for those who can't get the opportunity to see it up close...

don't worry...

I will post several pics of it when I get to see it...

Love the Shepard under the bed, bites anyone who hurts it's master above. Located one new German medic assisting a wounded soldier. Still see that elusive halftrack floating around, will that ever be produced, who knows. Fantastic layout again Gordon, very nice pickup for some lucky and no doubt wealthy collector. Would like to see another German doctor and nurse being released to complete the medic series. Robin.

Wow, just beautiful. Wish I was the collector who commissioned it
guy:)

As a patient, does not give much confidence in the medical staff to see the graves next door. Really great layout to highlight this series 'Generation War'. :salute::, Robin.

Andy and Team,
Congratulations on the fantastic hospital Dio...:salute:::D

Due to personal preference, I would say that I prefer the version with the German soldiers and medical corps, but not so happy with the scene of the hospital being over run by Ivan and his mongols.......I have to confess that as I saw the scene of the hospital being over run by Ivan and then the pictures of the building from the back, I had chills going down my spine....the scene from the back with the Russian soldiers invading the wards made my mind pictured the German soldiers being shot were they lay and the poor nurse at the top office floor having a similar but more painful death.....{sm2}{sm2}{sm2}{sm2}
Having said that, I still commend you all for the great work!
Cheers

A great looking and well detailed vignette!

Sadly no doubt we all noticed how the wrong color of red was used to represent blood. I suspect more in-depth field research would have prevented this tragic error.

Note: There was an excellent piece on human blood written in the 1940s by a Count Dray Q. Lah. Lots of color pictures and even some of the first 'scratch & suck' samples.

^&grin

Andy,we are adopting from China.We are visiting Hong Kong while we are there.I sincerely hope you are not traveling when we make the trip.It would be so cool to visit King and Country's home office during the trip.Might be a once in a lifetime opportunity!!!!

Andy and Gordon: What a fantastic dio as always. You Gordon do a fantastic job on Your dios. Thanks Guys for sharing these photos. {bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}

The diorama setting is fantastic. A superb piece of work. I'm sure whoever commissioned the model will be well pleased with the result. However I hope the Eastern front setting, with Soviet troops over-running the hospital is not used. Both sides treated the wounded and staff in the medical facilities they over-ran with the utmost barbarity. The Germans, as they regarded the Russians as untermensch who had not signed the Geneva Convention, and the Soviets seeking revenge for the death and destruction inflicted on the Motherland by the invaders.

As things were somewhat more civilised in the West, with both sides medical units working together in certain circumstances, such as Arnhem, and I would think that the use of either British or US Army models in the display might have been a better choice.

Anyone help with the civilians, mother & child. Where are they from? My thoughts they are new and will be FOB future release.
Hate not knowing how things fit together, old, new, another manufacturer?
^&confuse, Robin.
