Hi Guys,

If memory serves me correctly (although I could always be incorrect) I don’t remember describing our upcoming 25 Pounder Sets as “Normandy” or “NW Theatre” versions. Surely if they had been they would have the “Allied white star” and the aforementioned “muzzle breaks”.

At the end of the day boys – if you decide to buy it (them)…you utilize them where and when you see fit…It’s your gun…your collection…and your fun! Enjoy…

Maybe this will arise again when the catalogue number is issued from whether this is a DD or FOB.

My apologies guys, was probably me that jumped to D day conclusion.

Rob you'd better hand in that Treefrog badge as punishment! Like a bad doggy you should roll over lay down!
Haha seriously though I thought exactly the same as you. It's a great set.
Maybe one to buy over a period of time.

Traditionally it has always been hard to guess whether it is Pas-de-Calais or Normandy!{sm4}

haha yeah i agree mate - it's certainly an iconic set, probably one you've been dreamin' of and will look terrific with your exisiting D-Day sets. It's certainly the kind of set that can hopefully reignite enthusiasm for the hobby.

No problem, just keep your tanks close so they are there when you need them. As an afterthought, air superiority would be a small bonus as well!

Think it was me as well Rob . To be honest if Andy does not make a Normandy one are get Quad and put a Allied white star on myself it not that hard but think KC would sell a lot more making a D-day version .Just my personal opinion :)

Yes James I agree and it certainly seems to have gone down well on here!

Yes I can imagine Rommel saying that to Adolf on the morning of the 6th with Hitler replying he'd send a couple of Me109'S over to help out!{eek3}

Good idea mate ^&cool

I will be adding the 25pdr to my D-Day collections sans muzzle-brake or not. Price permitting of course! The gun crew seem to me to be wearing the D-Day issue steel helmet, but perhaps that is just the camouflage netting. The gun the crew seem to be 3rd Division. Perhaps they are supposed to represent units training in the UK mid-war, as that what the 3rd Div did between Dunkirk and Normandy. If so It would go nicely with the forthcoming home service Valentine and the current Home Guard figures.
