Hi Guys,

Just before the weekend gets into full swing, I thought I’d post a few “advance” pix of the next “Pike & Musket” release...

By the by, before I do, many thanks to all those who have written, emailed and phoned about this exciting and colourful new series.

At the recent Chicago Show it got a very big welcome and “thumbs-up” from many collectors who visited our room and attended the Sunday main event. Also the feedback from the UK has been really rewarding. Mike N. from K&C UK said he’s had the biggest advance orders for several years on this new range – so that can’t be bad!

Anyway...here’s a wee look at a couple of the forthcoming “goodies” – As our first release were all “Parliamentary” we recognize that we must produce the “Royalist” side, led, of course, by the King himself...”Charles1”. Following him are just a few of his followers...Hope you like ‘em!

Best wishes and...have a great weekend.

Andy C.

Very nice Andy, hopefully they are also popular outside UK, trying to do my part in Australia. Robin.

While I see this line is a bit of an odd choice as Andy has said in the past he would invest in series that have a global appeal plus it will be an expensive series to collect because of all the duplicates required; I am gobsmacked at the quality of the figures. You cannot say K&C is resting on its laurels and continues to offer less travelled matte selections and innovation with the new dual sets.

They can double as Thirty Years War figures...but English Civil War offers a lot of pose, uniforms , figures..i think Andy has already planned Ironsides!!!Then artillery, prince Rupert..i'm italian and i was always fascinated by that particular English period. Certainly some help was given by a movie , Cromwell (an outstanding Alec Guinness playing Charles I, he was identical!!!With all his faults, indecisions and great haughtiness) and a book, "Cromwell's Head" by Jonathan Fitzgibbons, a crude and fascinating book about the travels of the Lord Protector's head after his post mortem beheading.

Obviously camouflage wasn't big back in these days.................^&grin
Colorful release look forward to some dio, of massed lines of these troops.

Outstanding!!......:salute::..........will we see sometime down the track a 'beheading of the King' set? no English civil war series would be complete without one. :wink2:

Wayne.

Perhaps heading to the guillotine; the actual beheading might be a little dramatic.

Why...................^&confuse^&confuse
There is alot of "Dramatic" pieces around now so this should be no different IMO.

Have to agree with number#2 here, can't see how it would be any more 'Dramatic' than some previous releases.

AGAIN as you where Major (3000 more constructive posts {eek3} and 5 years :wink2:) ,any way i thought you would be up the Goldcoast at the V8,s get some sun shine mate and leave your workbench..................^&grin

I have gone through the seven stages of TS collecting with this range, beginning with 'nice but not for me' and ending with the final stage of acceptance where I acknowledge that I will indeed be collecting this range in its entirety.

One of the greatest posts of all-time that sums up so many ranges!!!!

Most certainly agree with Jack just haven't committed to stage 7 yet but I am sure that will happen once I see the first lot in my local Toy Soldier Shop.

Regards
Mark
