Here are three new marching Confederates from our ACW collection. The first photo has them in a woodland setting using our old growth timber trees along with the new 10” and 11” Maple trees, woodland backdrop and stumps and deadfall set. The Fall and Summer Maple trees and Stumps and Deadfall sets will be available fairly soon, the backdrop is available now. The title for this new thread is taken from our new set of a young Reb and a straggler that is following the infantry. The question is, will the dog have the sense to go back home, or march off with the boys to parts unknown…
The other two new additions to our marching Rebs have English import cloth trousers in blue. There will be a few others added to this grouping in the near future, and by the way… you can see part of our soon to be released 19th century farm backdrop in the second image too.
Thanks for looking,
Ken

Trees and stumps look great, as well as the figs of course. Chris

The town folk come out to see the company march off, showing their support with patriotic flags. There will be even more additions to the column in 2024…along with their northern counterparts…you can use other flags included with the figures to have them North of the Mason-Dixon Line!
The simple base along with the backdrop made this an easy set up. I do not use photoshop in the images, but do layer with small scenic items such as the bushes and picket fencing and occasionally ground scatter. I will be writing an article on how we do these photo set ups for The Standard, our Collector’s Club magazine early next year.
