There is also "monuments" as well.

I picked up a WW1 French war monument- I am going to put a dead german soldier and a US para beside it.....one day.

have a look at http://www.tigerdio.com/index.php

I'll second Scott's suggestion of Verlinden. You'll find a number of eBay online stores and sellers who sell Verlinden products, and also, here is the URL for their website:

http://www.verlindenonline.com/store/index.php

Be advised that their pieces are in 1/35 scale, so some pieces might be a little small for 1/30, but since headstones come in all shapes and sizes, it probably won't matter.

hsm's tip is also a good one, look at Michael's and AC Moore, if you have one near you. Halloween stuff will appear on the shelves around Labor Day or so, and they carry some lines of "Halloween village" items in a scale that would fit 1/30, too.

Hope that helps!

Prost!

Thanks to all you guys for your help and suggestions,I've decided to go for Verlinden and I can get them from the UK supplier Historex, again many thanks, this forum is full of very helpful people, much appreciated.

Glad to be of help Rob :) Can't wait to see what you are going to do with them.

Thanks Scott. I get an idea in my head and then over the next few days it starts to grow until I find myself ordering stuff!. Am going to order a set of these and make some molds to produce my own, am looking forward to getting started.

Would have thought a talented little bunny like you, Rob would have scratch built them by now. They aren't exactly complicated are they? Is this the thin edge of the wedge? Are you actually going to start painting your own? Trooper

Hi Alan,

Yes I will be painting my own, with a touch of weathering here and there:smile2:

Thanks again for the Blue and the Gray magazines^&cool

The LEMAX 1/32 scale stones could make 30mm stones as in my experience grave stones come in various sizes. The tips of wooden coffee stirrers (not Popsicle sticks) give you the preformed grave stone shape.
