Some great pics here, would love a long train with several Shermans like that, what a great stand alone scene that would be.

wow, after seeing such enthusiasm in this thread on 1/30 German trains, I am sure Andy (being profit-oriented) would have some sort of trains in his drawing board, if he's still a shrewd businessman.

Would be good if we could buy flat cars in singles and add our own tanks to them, would make for some wonderful scenes.I have seen a pretty rare film of Jagdpanthers loaded on flat cars enroute for the Eastern front, that would be so cool!.

Yes it would be nice.. (read my previous postings on this subject).. This is a very popular in HO (1/87th) scale,, The official name of the German railroad was "DEUTCHE REICHSBAHN".. Did anyone get a chance to look at the "ASTROCRAFT" site?? Look at the flat cars!

I am browsing the K&C website diorama display and I realized that Gordon cheated!!!

In the THE ARDENNES... HITLER'S LAST GAMBLE diorama, he used the LGB 5060 Railway Bridge!

But those flats are POST WAR German.. New decals and some modification would have to be done..

Here is a 1/29th scale aristo-craft viaduct RR bridge! Nice! Great for the ITALIAN front!!

I am somewhat intruding in this conversation regarding railroading. I do some posting over on the Toy Soldier Chat forum which makes me a member over there also. I have been a member here for a number of months but have not entered into much in the way of conversation. What I could suggest since there seems to be a lot of interest in this topic, that you visit their site which may be of interest to those of you interested in trains. Just a suggestion on my part.

Thanks for the suggestion skipper, had a look and there are some really interesting threads about trains on the other forum and a very nice thread about how to build your own heavy duty flatbed:) The figarti e-boat thread was also very interesting:cool:

If you are a WWII train enthusiast, that scratch built flatbed series was excelent. I would post a few picture for other thrain collectors to enjoy but they are not mine to post. I do not have permission to do so without burning some 'bridges'. ( just a figure of speech).

You can scratch that last posting of mine, I now have his permission to re post a few pictures for your enjoyment. These pictures are from a rail car he built for his own rail line. Now I have to figure out how to get the pictures on line here.
