Being back from hospital and having to remain calm and having to rest a lot the next couple of weeks, I took out my architect paper, my plastic card, plastic rod and plastic strip and made me a 1/30 scale French shop from the 1940's; Sidewalls and roof still to do. This building is the first of several buildings. These buildings will be incorporated in a dio I have in my mind . The theme will be "Liberated city"

The building looks great so far Guy and I am sorry to hear you have been unwell. I hope you get better real soon.

Tom

Guy, hope this doesn't mean you have a dodgy ticker mate! god forbid. Stay well, live long and prosper. :salute:: The building I'm sure will up to your normal standard...... which is brilliant of course.
Wayne.

Thank you my dear friends, the reason for being taken into hospital was nothing serious but only very annoying, a simple inguinal rupture.( I had to look this word up in the dictionary)
2 weeks of rest and I will be the "old" one again I hope

Here is a picture of some progress on the building, you can also see the slight staggered effect for the second shop ,
guy:)
It's a slow process because at the same time I continue working on the airfield control tower ( have to paint over 1000 individual building blocks)

Better be careful Guy, all my dealings with building projects have been stressful, not good for your health.^&grin Hopefully you find them relaxing. Robin.

Exterior of the first shop is finished. I turned it into a Normandy Flower shop. All the brickwork has disappeared and has been replaced by a wooden facade. Now I will start working on the adjacent house and the interior of the first shop. The second shop will still be a Fruit and veg. shop

I prefer the weathered wood as well, it gives a lovely effect. The adjacent building will have shutters that will hide most of the bricks anyway ( Or I will turn it also into a wooden facade, not made up my mind yet)

Guy, terrific work. The weathered wood truly does look fantastic. {bravo}}

Guy I used to do a lot of terrain for warhammer players back in Manila and your project is very detailed and professionally done. So this project is very fascinating for me and gave me a lot of insights on future projects for my own collection. I'm quite impressed with the painting as well. Great job mate!

Larry

Almost done . Fruit and veg shop is finished, still have to detail the interior of the flower shop . Hope you like it

Like those boxes of fruit for myself, did you make them or purchase them Guy? Robin.

The ones in front I made myself ( balsa wood 1mm), the ones in the shop window are Verlinden. The ones in front are filled with potatoes, green and red apples made of milliput, leaks made of tall grass (painted), salad made of of steel wool and some tree leaves and some green/yellow grape fruit ( could also be something else,) made of foam board .
