I have one word Guy. Amazing. I especially like how you blend or elminate the bases from the Dio. Every detail is there. Keep them coming! Brad

Hi Guy I would love to see what you could do with First Legion figures in a diorama. You are one of the best diorama builders I have seen. I am learning from you all the time. THANKS. Simmo.

Sorry I forget this was a K&C section.

One day Simmo, one day I promise ( would not know where to buy them today. When I buy them straight from the manufacturer the import taxes are almost as high as the price paid for the figures !!!!!!)
by the way I have a friend who will work on the pictures shown so that no dio base will be visible any longer. Will show these pics when finished.

Well here it is folks, my St-M-E dio. The focus in the dio is on the Greyhound M8. M8 and equipment are a complete repaint. Added two antennas, changed the vehicle number and being from C company I gave it the name "Culver". Made the driver a member of the 4th infantry div and put a map of Utah beach and its hinterland under his arms. Other paras are also complete repaints and one para from the 101st I turned into a para belonging to the 82nd by changing his shoulder insignia.
The story: It is Tuesday the 6th june 10.10 hours in S-M-E. An AFV from the 4th inf div has made contact with the 82nd airborne occupying the town.

Men from both div are meeting in an undamaged street; only the street clock has broken glass from a stray bullet

6th june is a Tuesday= garbage collecting day. Unfortunately for the inhabitants of the paint shop the M8 has crushed their garbage can under its wheels

"Guy":

Great photos of your splendid vignette diorama of D-Day behind the beaches of Normandy.

just for fun here is a dio I made about the 6th june 1944 but this time set in Sainte-Marie-du-Mont. Meeting between the 101st airborne and the 70th Tank Battalion coming from Utah beach. The water pump on the dio is an exact replica of the one standing in the town square in 1944 .( the tank is a customized FoV)

Good news Guy....As in the motto on the DI of the 359th inf Reg...(landed on D Day. Utah beach attached to the 4th Inf Div)....CARRY ON.

Steve

Excellent scenes Guy. Like others have said, I really like your attention to small details which just gives the scenes that little something extra special.
