Exactly100 years ago the 4th August 1914 at 10.30 the Germans attacked Belgium. Officialy the commemorations started today in the city of Liège. French president, German president, King and Queen of Belgium, Prince William and Kate from the UK, The Spanish King and many other guests were present .
Lots of re-enactment groups were part of the ceremony. Although lots of authentic uniforms are still available they were all wearing exact replicas: the reason being that the old uniforms became too small for todays generation ( average length increased by 7-12 cm in comparison with 1914)

Glad someone else spotted the Minerva in the photo. Have never seen one other than photos of course. Very cool to see and I hope someone produces one.
