Guys...

11 dispatches down and was looking at what had been released and was wondering what were the standouts. I have done a list of 11 that I think have been excellent. As with many I could probably do this again next week and it would be different but, looking through the releases these jumped out. Look forward to hearing all the different figures/vehicles that have stood out for others

Cool thread Mitch!!

I agree with most the pics though I think the new Normandy building stands out for November. I also liked the LW Mounted flak gun.

Currahee...

Thanks for that. Agree with both of your choices also the maultier was a great piece as is the building.

I can't list 11 entries because I don't know what came out month by month. I do know what my favorite releases were, which, coincidentally, are the ones I purchased (or will when available).
FW190
BF 109 - Marseille
Kursk Tiger
Snow Tiger
A short list but a good one. I also liked the Luftwaffe flak vehicle, but I haven't got that one, yet. -- Al

That's odd. The same thing happened to me. The ones I purchased also turned out to be my favourites.

Snow Tiger
Maultier
Normandy Building
Mickey Mouse Tilley

My best 2010::)
Kursk Tiger
RAF Austin K2 Airfield Ambulance
Austin Light Utility
Republic P-47D Thunderbolt
FW190
Arnhem Radio Jeep
Snow Tiger
Opel Maultier Flakwagen............................................:):)

Rob...

Now see, I forgot all about the strecher party which, is a real good set. Probably, the best ''medic'' set that K&C has released. Still think one should be forthcoming for the Battle of Britain range.

Here are some of my favourite purchases so far in 2010:

RAF Austin Tilly & K2 Ambulance - bags of character...

Tiger Mk 1 - classic tiger...

Dodge winter ambulance - great BofB diorama possibilities

No Kristmas for the Kaiser - excellent sculpting and painting and the portly hun has to be the weightiest figure K&C have ever made! Anyone out there want to challenge me on this!?

Still to come before December end:

Snow Tiger
More Thin Red Line sets
Normandy church

Most eagerly awaited for 2011:

Any WW1 aviation sets!

It's been avery good year and 2011 promises to be VERY expensive! I'd better start looking for a second job....

Jamo...

Great choices and agree about the Christmas set its a great version of the christmas sets we are now so used to. I like the fact he is in handcuffs!!
Everyone loves the Tiger 1 so would think the SL will be gone before the end of the year.

Cheers for putting your fav's in

That church is available now (or do you mean you are getting it before December?)

I know it's been out a while, just on my list to get - looks a great dio piece....

I love the look of the new corner shop house but boy that piece is expensive!

I bought the French Farmhouse when it came out and I'm sure it was only about £60-70GBP. That was a lot of scenery for the money....

Would be very easy to come up with another 11 as well. I could have easily added Arnhem Mortar, any of the HJ Normandy sets, RAF Ambulance , Bulge Ambulance etc. The choice of quality releases is big that it's very hard to narrow it down!

Rob

Rob...

New Schlepper with the detail is excellent and could go as release of the year as the tarp bars are a great idea and excellent innovation.
But, as you say I could have added another 50 items without much difficulty to the list
Mitch

My best for 2010
The 2 girls that brought in the ambulance the tilly and the Spit
The ME-109
The Bulge ambulance that is bringing the rest of the crew
The Luftwaffe marching, officer flagbearer soldiers
Do i have to keep going

Yes that ME109 is an excellent release, wish I had more room for aircraft.

Anyone else got the Higgins boat on their list? Havn't got this one yet but it looks terrific.

Rob

If I had to rate which releases are the best as opposed to favorites, they would be:

Me 109 - almost better than the wood version; the only poly I own. I again respectfully request that all future planes leave the pilot out as an option.

The Church - this new generation of the Nv looks to be the best ever.

Quonset hut and Ak tower - superb. Probably all dio pieces get top grades.

Ambulance.

Austins - long overdue.

My top picks for 2010 would have to be the opel maultier aa, raf ambulance, fw 190, raupenschleper, lincoln and his generals plus custer and brady, mg032 captured, mg032 radio jeep, famo recovery, the normnady12th ss sets and the announcement of the "jadgtiger"
