A 12 min whipping scene , having sat through the one in ' The Passion of the Christ' this probably can't be as bad as that! This film sounds very good to me as it's based on the true story of the central character;

Watched the film last night with my wife. I thought the movie was fantastic! I recommend it. We were about 3/4 of the way through the movie when my wife got up and went to do something else. She said the violence was just too much for her to take. Parts of it are pretty brutal. I can see why it won movie of the year. Excellent production. Great acting by the entire cast.
