Hi Steve. The add-on set is #17104 which is a three figure set that was released in 2000 . . . . . .

I just checked my Lone Star set. Yes, there is yellow highlighting on the white part of the Texas Flag. I think this was intentionally added for shading, as most of the yellow appears in the folds of the flag.

Congratulations on finding the set; it really makes a stunning display. I wish you good luck in finding the add-on companion set. It took me 5 or 6 years to find one after getting the original set. (I found both at the show in Schaumburg, Illinois.)

In the early 2000s, Ken Osen did some work for Conte Collectibles. I believe he sculpted their first Texas Brigade sets. I bought one loose figure last year at Schaumburg, and it works well with the Britains pieces. You might be able to fill out the ranks with some of those sets as well.

Hi there... Blackhat is right about the Texans issued under the Conte Collectibles brand. Some of them really work well with the Lone Star set issued by Ertle/W. Britain, and also patterned by yours truly.
The cornstalk set #17614 I patterned for 1st gear/W. Britain also work well with these sets to simulate Miller's cornfield. You might also want to consider 1st Gear/W. Britain set #17936 Confederates in frock coats to add to these.
Good luck locating the add on sets!
All the Best,
Ken
