Hello,
The new Britains (#18026A) British 10th Foot Light Infantry Firing figure looks a lot like a figure that appeared in the Bulter's Ranger (17540) set. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hello,
Those are the figures that I was talking about. I did not want to said it in my original pm, but I wondered if the Butler's Ranger figure served as the model for the 10th light foot figure.

Benjamin,
I have to admit that I never followed anything that RC2 made so this figure is simple a standing firing figure that is similar in pose.
We really haven't looked back at any of the matte finished products except to consider if the subject matter had been covered or not. Even then we often move ahead with new developments of important subjects such as ACW.

One can't always compare reenactment groups to what the soldiers really looked like, but the Ten Regiment Of Foot in America has been around since the 1960s (I was in it in the late 70s) and quite a bit of direct research from the UK went into their kit which does not show up in the referenced figure. Colors and the cap badges can still be followed in 1/32 scale. That would hurt the collect-ability at least for myself.
