Has anyone seen this Aussie Series from 1982 ? - I just rented it from Netflixs.

It took a long time to get to the action of WWI

What was everyone else take ??

It's years since I've seen it but it's not a full on war movie Ron, you had best see the mini series ANZACs if that's what you want. 1915 is basically a mini series about two boys and their families and how WWI affected them and their relationships. Another Australian Mini Series 'Vietnam' had a similar theme but of course set in a later time.

It was alright - kind of a Dallas/Dynasty in Aussie Style

Anzacs was a brilliant series. The Australians do make good war films, they really do get the detail right. There is a tendency to always show the British as prats but even so the films are good.

I served in areas the Australian Army did in Viet. even had a run in with their MPs. Fine brave soldiers

They certainly are, they picked up 4 VCs in Vietnam.
