...I received my first king and country sets on my 7th birthday and it's been a snowball effect ever since. I've enjoyed taking part in various hobbies but the one which has always triumphed is collecting Toy Soldiers.

I have had various sets since and every time I get a package still get the same feeling I did all those years ago!

Cheers to Andy for keeping my hobby alive!

Happy birthday Scott...I still remember my first set of toy soldiers too...Unfortunately a lot longer than 20 years ago!!!
However I still get that same ‘buzz’ when I see some that I really like or pick up a particular set or figure I’ve long been looking for.
Best birthday wishes,
Andy.

Nice, I have you by 20 years but I feel the same way everytime I find something new or something I want, it is a guilty pleasure in life that should be enjoyed every day IMO!

Happy Birthday!

Yesterday i received my Holy Grail of TS collecting. Maybe it's not so rare but due to some motive or other (cost, avalaibility etc.) i always delayed the purchase of a set i always loved, that is DD054. I always remember the fact that some day of 2005 in a little model shop near Caserta in Italy i saw a figure, single figure with his dog (for me always a plus!) and that figure was exactly one of my favourite characters of the book and the movie "The Longest Day" : Captain Colin Maud and his dog Winston. At the time i was only a modelist (with not so much talent) and collector of the Dragon Armor (there was a collecting spree for those vehicles and tanks back then) and after having seen that little figure with his little dog Winston i was like Paul on the way to Damascus, i immediately started to search for these figure and discovered the set (the seller in the little shop sold separately the other 2 figures, wonderful too, and the signal equipment that goes with them) and...King & Country! Yesterday some way a chapter of my collecting ended, but in the meantime Andy released a lot of other sets i long for, so the search for the Grail continues!!! Thanks Andy!!! :)
