Gents,

Just received my 2007 Catalogue Supplement and I must admit there are some excellent figures within its pages.

The British Royal Field Artillery piece/limber with 6 horses is probably the highlight of the new collection but the new additions to all the major series are excellent figures in their own right. I usually only collect the ACW series from this maker, but the more and more I see of the Napoleonics the more tempted I am.

Zulus next year and there's a taster on the back with an unpainted 3 set Zulu pack (Rorkes Drift looks like the first sets to be done). Who isn't going to collect these....

Rgds

Could some-one please post some images for us colonials who have to wait a few weeks for the snail mail to cross the equator

Damian:)

Hi Andy-

Can you scan the page with the unpainted Zulu figures and post it? Thanks.

Just saw the catalog/standard (spoilers);

The elephant is tempting ...

ZW:
- two piece gloss set in action poses for Modelzone (24th private and CS bourne)
- Gloss 24th in the Redcoat series (very nice!!)
- Christmas set in gloss; two 24th officers in a mess scene. "Christmas in Natal" I fell in love with this one, words won't do it justice; http://www.wbritaincollectorsclub.com/MemberShopDetail.cfm?ItemID=49
- A B&W preview of the best zulu sculpts I have ever seen. Based on Angus Mc Brides work for Osprey in matte. Each with info card. Initially based on Rorkes Drift.

I am very pleased with what I see so far.
Only wondering if the zulus will be sold as singles.

I presume the 24th Foot spent Christmas 1978 in Pietermaritzburg. I am not sure it may have been Helpmekaar though. Does anyone know where the officers mess was. The invasion began in mid January 1879. It is a great set though. I live and work in Pietermaritzburg.

Looks like we're going to have a very Merry Christmas and an outstanding New Year provided by WBritain......The Lt.

For the elephant drawn artillery piece I am thinking Delhi Durbar

Definately yes. The Osprey series is a great idea and the masters look outstanding. I have no idea how WB will tie it in with the rest of the series. There isn't a free ZW club figure though that you might have expected. They do have 4 different figures this time, one of them a napoleonic pioneer. I never would have expected him to look more bad-*** then the 2007 sapper, but he does .

Right now I'm only thinking "must buy elephant".

Ken or any other Zulu buffs out there.
Where did teh 24 th regiment of foot celebrate Christmas 1878. Was it Pietermaritzburg or Helpmekaar?

Hi Damian,

All I can say is "Wow!" Britains has scored several home runs with their new sets. The WW I British Field Artillery may just be the set that plunges me more deeply into collecting WW I figures! And,...that elephant!...What can I say! Spectacular!

Thanks for posting the pictures. You have made my heart pump faster! :)

Warmest personal regards,

Pat ;)

Man will I be glad when the cateloge gets here!

Dave

I enjoyed the preview of new products. The Zulu War stuff will be neat and I like the Rev War artillery and Redcoat collection. I can't wait for my supplement. Thanks for pics. Leadmen
