2009 OTSN - William Hocker Figures (1 Viewer)

Gentle Friends,

Attending OTSN is an event that simply cannot be adequately described. Room after room is full of toy soldiers, all of which are for sale. Thousands of toy soldiers delight the senses and provide overwhelming temptation for the collector. And, as I learn year after year, I am as tempted as all other collectors.

I managed to photograph a few of the visions I experienced at the show. Perhaps sharing my photographs will provide a small taste of the stimulation experienced as you move from room to room.

One of my most favored rooms is the one occupied by William Hocker. Consequently, I took many photographs of the items available for sale in that small room. Without further fanfare, let me share the treasures I found in his room.

Mr. Hocker surprised all his fans by announcing the release of three new lines:

1. Spanish American War
2. Barbary Coast Wars
3. American West

The photos contained in my first post above and those included in this post display figures/sets from the new Spanish American War and the new Barbary Coast Wars.

Now, for the new America West series. You might note the presence of some unpainted masters in the displays. Mr. Hocker shared with me he had been working furiously on this line and simply ran out of time before he could finish painting all the figures. The unpainted masters provide a glimpse of wonderful things to come in the very near future!
