Hello All!
I spent this last weekend in Indiana at the Tippecanoe Battle site. As some of you already know in addition to owning Hudson & Allen Studio and sculpting for W. Britain, I also participate with living history groups at various historic sites from time to time.
I thought I would share a few images of our re-created company of Militia Volunteer Infantry 1810 to 1815. We had over 30 members present with 26 in the uniformed company. We are still a 'work in progress' with more members still sewing clothing and equipment for the Bicentennial of the War of 1812.
I plan on sculpting a few figures from this period and thought that I could add to this thread from time to time a work progresses.
You can pick me out in some of the images... the NCO wearing a red sash and dark blue trousers.
This is an interesting period in North American history that is often overlooked and certainly misunderstood.
I hope you enjoy looking at these as much as I enjoyed attending the event!
All the Best,
Ken
