Afternoon guys, hope all is well with you today:smile2:

So as we approach the end of the year and a great collecting week that sees both a London show and the final dispatch of the year, what can we expect/hope to see. Anyone else expecting some surprises for December?:wink2:

Rob

We just got a surprise - the Askari units in the Italian Army. That's something I never would have expected. I'm not sure which wars they represent, but it seems like K&C is branching into new territory. Could we be looking at a whole East Afrika campaign with WWI and WWII units and British, German, Belgian and French troops?

Terry

Terry...

Agree some interesting figures and, could lead to a wide range of possibilities. as for the final dispatch well, its always or seems to be some desert releases so, would probably expect the 25 ILB gun hopefully, in a brit version and, do a aussie version save them painting the boots!!!LOL

Some Arnhem that were in the pipeline would be nice to see but, apart from knowing no Sturmtiger!!! perhaps some LAH... Christmas with the Hitler's or Nazi's!!! You just can't beat it!!

Terry
the Askari probably fit into the early WWII period during the East-Africa campaign, and yes I would love to see some free colonial Belgian troops too.

The Crimean War figures mentioned on another thread would be most welcome.

Well Rob, As a eastern front WWII collector I don't think I would have any complaints for not having enough to buy and add. I have my little list that I will work on to get and open up on Christmas as a little surprise.....from me to me {sm3}
Somewhere down the line I would like to add a few of the classic Germans in shooting/fighting poses to go along with what is already out.Rob, hope you have a blast at the London show......Enjoy :smile2:

Thanks PA, very kind:smile2:

I like the idea of a Christmas present to me from me! I may ask the wife what she thinks of that one.:wink2:

I'm finally going to get my hands on that RAF Tractor in London, been waiting like a good boy for that one:wink2:

Rob

A leftfield range that I would not be surprised to see at some point would be the Pancho Villa Expedition.

You are right Guy, let' s not forget the battle for "Abissinia"(1941) between England and Italy at the beginning of ww2. Italians lost of course, but they made some hard resistance in some forts in the desert. And as they had not many soldiers in that area, their colonial troops helped....The african campaign was not only on the mediterrean coast! {sm3}

Market Garden & Ancient Egyptian, feel like a broken record saying the same thing every month, but I will get it right sooner or later as they are in the pipeline. Cheers, Robin.

Some very interesting ideas here guys, and yes Arnhem is in the pipeline isn't it:smile2:

Should be an interesting show on Saturday^&cool

Rob,

I agree about the Christmas present from me to me. Sounds like a logical idea.:)

That RAF Tractor does look good, might have to add one to my RAF collection too.

Please take a few pictures at the London show for all of us that can't make it. You and the guys always do such a great job of that and it's much appreciated. As far as the new dispatches go, if there is going to be some new German armor in the mix, I would like to see a Brummbar or if new British armor I would like to see a Stuart "Honey" tank for the desert.

No more WW2 Germans for a while please..:wink2:.. but more, more and more Great War Brits, Western Front A.I.F and please, please some Great War vehicles and artillery which are way, way overdue, that's my unbias Xmas wish list....:wink2::rolleyes2:
Wayne.

Agreed. A Mk I from 2nd Gaza would be good. Two would be great. All eight is probably not gonna happen!

Im easy to please Rob as all i want is a 8th Army 25-pdr field gun with limber, Quad tractor vehicle to tow it, 8th Army version of the Humber Armoured Car and a DAK version of the Sdkfz 222!
