More from the vendor area. I didn't get to too many tables for detail shots, but took shots to get an overall view of

the vendors.

This is Ralph Lavalle, who started out working with Ron Ruddell of London Bridge, and now takes his own tables, since

Ron has retired from going to shows:

This castle is available for sale, by the way, so if you're interested, PM me and I'll connect you with Ralph:

All kinds of things to be found at the show, including books and modeling supplies:

classic toy soldiers:

and kits for the modeler. This is Chuck Robinson's area (Red Lancers):

and some of the connoisseur figures Chuck had for sale:

Getting close to the end...

More from the vendor area. Mike Stelzel's Artist Preservation Group's table

Our friend and member of the Hawaiia Shirt Mafia, Herb Forgey, is manning the table in that shot.

Jack Muldoon's flats:

Since Carl Gruen retired, Jack is the primary source for flats at the shows, as far as I know.

Andrea USA was also represented:

(Their rep is a little cutie, too ;) )

and Gettysburg Toy Soldier, I believe:

While I was circulating through the vendor area on Saturday, I happened upon a table where a lady was making a deal

with one of the sellers for these figures, from her late husband's collection:

Those pieces may have been in our exhibition at some time in the past; I didn't get to talk with the lady, but they're

excellent pieces.

Almost there...

A couple more pieces from the exhibition (entered on Saturday).

Sci-fi modeling fans may be familiar with the MaschinenKrieger series based on Japanese artist Kow Yokoyama's

illustrations. Here is a kit from that series, of the Ketzer armored fighting suit:

and by fellow member of the Delaware Valley Scale Modelers, Tommy Kortman, his excellent diorama, "Still Life":

Tommy won a gold medal for that piece, really well done!

Coming up--my haul from the show...

Now, here's what I picked up. First, some classic 1/72 aircraft kits at very good prices, from Gene Bagnoli:

75_CheapKits.jpg

plus a couple of sci-fi kits, the AMT AT-AT Walker and Scout Walker kits:

I've been thinking about building the walker for some time, and the opportunity presented itself to pick up both kits

cheap, so I took it.

Back to toy soldiers, I got two of Frontline's Prussians, from George:

then I spotted this Stadden casting of a British dragoon from the Seven Years War, relatively hard to find these days:

and finally, this Stadden vignette, factory painted, of General Seydlitz and two cuirassiers, enjoying a bottle of

wine:

Despite the paint loss, it was worth it to me to get an original factory-painted piece, because of Stadden's history.

I didn't previous have a factory-painted piece.

On to the wrap-up...

I almost forgot--I got to meet up with some of the Treefroggers who visited the show. Got a shot of Louis and Tom, with George:

20_Louis_George_Tom.jpg

and representing the Highlanders, Nicholas Cameron (Crown Toy Soldiers), along with our president, Blair Stonier:

40_OurHighlandDivision.jpg

Blair is a member of a pipe band, whose name escapes me at the moment, sorry, Blair!

I also met up with Andreas (Andanna) and Mark (Revwarbuff), but didn't get to get a picture with them.

So, after running around for two days, getting to visit with dealers and collectors on my rounds, then striking the exhibition area Saturday, I was ready for the last night of our hospitality suite:

It was a great show, with more really excellent pieces in the exhibition than ever before, and great times with the dealers and patrons. I'm looking forward now to next year.

Prost!
Brad
