I attended the room trading at this year's OTSN show in Schaumburg, IL yesterday. My main center of interest was the W. Britain room and the Friday evening dinner which honored the 120 years of W. Britian toy soldier manufactruing and the key note speaker W. Britian Gen MGr Ken Osen. Had a wonderful time and got to see and talk to many of my forum friends while at the event and dinner. It was really very nice to be able to see the new upcoming releases "in-hand" and also the prototypes of those figures yet to come. The new "Clashes of Empires" range will be a big hit I am sure, especially amongst those collectors who appreciate the history of the European conquest of North America and their dealings and alliances with the 18th century and early 19th century Native American Eastern Woodland warriors. Lets, just say I will be starting this collection. Once again the W. Britain staff present at the show was nothing but cordial to all their guests and visitors. They were extremely informative and enthusiastically shared the time, effort, and historical research that went into their current offerings as well as those yet to be released. Regardless of which range or ranges you collect, you will be very pleased as we finish 2013 and go into 2014. Here are the photos I took of the W. Britian display room . . . . enjoy . . . .

I'm probably duplicating Mike but here are proofs of future figures, including Sickle and 114th Pa.

Mike and Brad: I model only ACW. I can not Thank You two for the great photos they are just unreal. The WW1 dios are great. If I had the room I would get into that part of history. Thanks again for the great photos: "Mr Colt 45" {bravo}} {bravo}} {bravo}}

Thank you very much for the great pictures. It looks as if Ken did find some time to prepare some dioramas for the show. Some of their elements like the barn or the autumn tree are just breath taking.

Glad to help those who are not here. Here's one more WW I and more Civil War.

You are very welcome, glad I was able to do it for those that could not attend.

If you only model ACW (which I can certainly understand) then you will be "bowled over" by the four sets of turnpike fencing with Confederates climbing over the rails. In my opinion, they are perhaps the best sculpts that Ken Osen has done to date. The "Hell for Glory" set is also ab absolute "must have" for WB ACW collectors.

Thank you very much for the great pictures. It looks as if Ken did find some time to prepare some dioramas for the show. Some of their elements like the barn or the autumn tree are just breath taking.

The autumn dios were . . . . well, just beautiful. They made a great platform for their Rev War display and would also be excellent for a FIW venue.

Huge thank you to both Mike and Brad for posting these superb shots of Britains goodies for us, just love their WW1 and ACW figures and want them all!

Rob

I would appreciate if someone asks Britains (Ken) if they plan to add some Hessians to their AWI range.......any other plans for this series???

During Friday evening's dinner address, Ken shared with us his vision going forward. This included his announcement that W. Britain and his good friend the artist Don Troiani, have agreed to "make soldiers" together. W. Britain now has the right to use any of Mr. Troiani's paintings as a reference to develope new figures. As he discussed this collaberation, Ken was holding one of Mr. Troiani's latest paintings, that of a German Hessian during the AWI. The model used in the painting was in actuality Ken's son. Does this mean there will be Hessians coming out in the future . . . . . perhaps. But it does certainly mean that we will see some great sculpts of some of our favorite Don Troiani historical paintings.

Mike and Brad,
Thank you both so much for taking the time to photograph these awesome set ups and then share them with us. Perhaps one day I'll be able to visit this awesome experience.
Best,
Josh

I tried to find Ken to ask him your question Rich but had no luck. I will try to ask him tomorrow.
