Hi all,

well as the temps start dropping and leaves start falling the 2012 year is coming to a close and what a year it has been for First Legion!!!if you had told me back in January of all the new ranges/ and the additions to current ranges and such, well needless to say I would have been and am very surprised and excited to see what First Legion has done in 2012, everyone I'm sure has thier favorites from new U.S. Paras to Vietnam and so on, and now with 2013 just around the corner in a few short months I was curious to know what you are hoping to see from First Legion in 2013??

I, myself being a WWII diehard am already looking forward to the new SS Germans, and being that we have a Western Front in the makings would love to see either a Panther/Tiger/Mark IV tank as well as the US. Sherman, and if I had a choice of a new range I would love to see First Legion do a Western theme as in the American calvary vs. the Western Indians.

So First Legion collectors let's give Matt and his team some ideas/wishes for 2013:)...Sammy

I cant wait, especially now after getting two of the Takeda cavalry figs, to see that Roman Decurion/Pratorian thats been teasing me on their website banner.

A mounted Takeda archer would be sweet.

I wrote this stuff to Matt a few weeks ago via email, but I have no problem posting it again and its in order of preference:

  1. Sd Kfz 231 and 233 to complement the 232 (DAK and Stalingrad, what the hell, winter would be nice too!)
  2. Sd Kfz 250 (/1, /3, /9) in DAK, Stalingrad and Normandy
  3. Sd Kfz 10 (troop carrier and mounting the Flak 38)
  4. Allied recce/recon vehicles to balance out Axis vs. Allied recon dios
  5. While I admit the SS had more camo, I like the fact that FL has not focused so much on them as other "elite" units in the Heer. So, 11th Panzer (the "real" Ghost Division), GrossDeutschland and Panzer Regiment 35 (4th Panzer)
  6. KV1 Tank
  7. Sd Kfz 251 (especially the B and C versions from early in the war in Feldgrau)
  8. M4 Halftrack
  9. Guderian's Command Sd Kfz 251
  10. I am a fan a variants, so a Sd Kfz 7 Flakvierling, a second Panzer III for Stalingrad line, etc
  11. Schwimmwagon and Kubelwagons
I also added inspirational photographs6th Army Recce troups relaxing outside of Sd.Kfz 250.jpg8-Rad_Sd Kfz 231 and 232_Heavy Recce.jpg23rd Panzer Division_Russia 42.jpgSdKfz 250-1 GD_Patrolling in Russia 42 .jpg

I myself hope that some time in 2013 that the Western Front heads into Dec 16th of 44,
The Ardennes Offensive. Love to see some winter SS and 101st in winter gear.

Neil

A mounted Takeda archer will be nice. Samurai commander advancing with Ashigaru (foot soldiers) or Samurai advancing with yari that have the Hojo Clan of Odawara sashimono. IRT to AWI, British 10th Regiment of Foot though I know we are still waiting for the release of 22nd Regiment of Foot. Napoleonics, Kings German Legion will be nice as well. :smile2:

I am looking forward to more American Civil War figures from First Legion. I know there are several great releases coming up before the end of the year. I would really love to see more personalities from the Confederate side (and some Union as well). I am sure 2013 will be a great year for ACW as it will be the 150th Gettysburg. :D

No doubt the western front will have a lot of great releases, but for me, more winter Germans please. A winter version of that nice 222 armored car would be very cool.

1. Generic Civil War "Billy Yank" infantry in sack coats and forage caps.
2. Union and Confederate Artillery (Perhaps the Washington Artillery of New Orleans -- one of America's oldest Military units for the Confederates)
3. Viet Nam US Marines.
4. Korean War -- Starting with Chosin Reservoir Marines, GIS and Royal Marines
5. US WWII Paratroopers with 75mm Pack Howitzer and Airberne 6 pounder AT gun.
5.a. D-Day British Paras and Commandos -- maybe figures of Lord Lovat, Piper bill Millin and Maj. John Howard that look like the originals, and are dressed and equipped like they were on D-Day.
6. Agincourt English Archers, Sir John Erpingham, and dismounted King Henry
7. WWI 1916-1918 Figures, French in Greatcoats and Adrian Helmets, German Storm Troops. Doughboys and Marines. A French 75 (either french or American crewed) and a German 77. Personality figures of Pershing, Harbord, Whittlesey, York, Lejeune, MacArthur and Patton.
8. Napoleonic -- more British line infantrry and Cavalry.
9. Samurai -- how about a couple of dismounted figures fighting with swords
10. Rome: a "Marius Mule" Legionare on the march.

Further to Cameron's post, it would be nice to see figures of Lee and Meade. Moreover, with the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address coming in November, how can you not have a Lincoln figure? If FL doesn't do it, I hope somebody does.

Rommel and more DAK
DAK 222
Montgommery with 8th Army
Brit 25 pounder artillery

George Washington
19th Indiana Iron Brigade
Roman archers
AWI artillery
AWI British light infantry

A ton of great ideas already, hoping Matt is taken notes :) but now that I think of it I sure would love to see some long winter coated Russkies for my Stalingrad range, winter is coming on fast...Sammy

some ideas/wishes for 2013:

Stalingrad Hanomag & PzIVF2/G. Hanomag in standard grey. Open to surprises on the tank.

General Chuikov & one of his subordinates, though not sure which one to pick

Maybe Chuikov giving personal instructions to a young platoon leader about to go in to combat.

Toss me in a winter Hanomag also Blowtorch, got to have that variety:)...Sammy

I wouldn't miss the personality figures if we got a good 25pdr and crew. Or even multiple crews. I love me some guns.
