Here is the registration flyer for the 2015 W. Britain Model Figure Symposium in Gettysburg, PA. July 24 - 26, 2015. Please let us know if you have any questions! All are welcome to attend. Hope to see you there.

Hello all,
I finished sculpting the event figure last night, so I will post some pictures of it soon. I have been working with Bob Bradley from Alabama Department of Archives and History on this one.
We chose to offer the First Sergeant of the 15th Alabama, Patrick O'Conner as he might have appeared during the assault on the 20th Maine's position on Little Roundtop on the second day at Gettysburg.
O'Conner defended the flag of the 15th Alabama from capture by a soldier of the 20th Maine by dispatching him with a bayonet to the head.
O'Conner was in an amazing number of engagements during the war and was promoted to lieutenant after Gettysburg. He was killed in the vicious fighting at Cold Harbor, Virginia in 1864.

Those are some really interesting topics. And Chip will do a great job. :)

We have updated the flyer with an image of the event figure and will repost this on Monday.
Thanks,
Ken

Hi all,
I thought I would share a couple of pictures of the master model I finished for the Friday scenery workshop at our Gettysburg Symposium. The model will now be molded and we will use the foam castings to teach the hands on workshop. We will guide each attendee in painting, applying groundwork, grass, foliage and saplings to complete a Little Rountop display.
I will post more pictures soon of a completed sample.
We have a few more openings for the class if anyone is interested.

Wow! That is amazing! Will you be making something like that in a modular format? Thanks Brad

Ken, I agree with Brad, Wow that is amazing, wish I could attend the class but used my one trip out east earlier this year for Appomattox. The modular format could be used for a number of things. I would be interested in the sections if it is ever offered. This is another could reason to attend the symposium. Hopefully it is offered again next year. Chris

What I like about this is you could even use it for Devils Den. It looks amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I envy you blokes who get to go to it have fun and i look forward to some round top diorama,s in the future and well done to Ken.
