To follow up what Andy mentioned, being the new guy on the block at this year's Chicago show I certainly felt welcomed as a toy soldier collector, now I have no clue what went on in years past so this is the only show I can base my opinion on...but the large banners, signs made me feel right at home with the hotel and the staff, the layout was super easy to figure out, once I arrived Friday I went to my room on the 4th floor and upon exiting the elevators had 2 long tables with tons of information from companies represented at the show as well as a easy run of the 4th and 5th floors, as I mentioned in another thread the dealers, buyers, collectors there were about as nice a people as you can find, it was great to chat with some of the treefrog gang all be it rather quickly as there was always something else to see or go, and the rooms I visited be it old plastics, new metal etc. seemed to have people coming in and going out all the time so it looked to be good crowds but then again I have nothing to compare it to, my only complaint is I did not give myself enough time, to much to do and see flying in late Friday, if I'm lucky to go next year I'll certainly give myself more time. so to me it was a awesome show!!!!!!!!!!!! bought some new toy soldiers, met a few forum friends, made some new friends along the way, can't get much better then that.
