Hi,
Has anyone received their WB club figure(s) yet or does anyone have any news on when they are likely to be delivered.
Cheers
Paul

I was waiting for this thread to start, it has been an annual question/thread for the last few years, it has been June and July in previous years when the Collector Club figures were released! with, I must add, information from WB that they will improve delivery for the following year. I will say this is one of the reasons I stopped collecting many WB ranges, I now only collect Clash of Empire and War of the Nile, but looking through my collections I have more John Jenkins figures than Britains. There is simply too much choice out there for my money and was simply fed up of waiting for figures to be available!

I have a straight piece of advise for the management at William Britains,

"Get your delivery times and commitment sorted"

K & C, Thomas Gunn and John Jenkins have it sorted and deliver on a monthly basis, with very few figures/sets I can remember not being delivered on time............

The WB 88mm gun is an example of this, it was announced YEARS ago it will released and now it is Winter 2017 and I would not bet on it coming out then.

People will disagree with my opinion, but despite me not collecting too many sets now I am still invested in William Britains as it is an important historical company for the TS market.

Agree, there new 24th foot club figure months behind, and when I check still no date ,

Agree, fairly obvious issues in production schedules. Britain's has not seen any of my money for 18 months. Hopefully things will turn around for this iconic company. Robin.

I have just stopped buying and at one point WB were half of my collection, the demise of this iconic company has been terrible.

I contacted W Britains UK distributer last week and have been told that a shipment is due to arrive in the UK at the end of July. The reason for delays has been the change to a new manufacturing factory pressumably in China. The 2016 event figure and 2017 membership figures should be around in about 8 weeks.

Britains has a great range of products and as disapointed as I am that they are not appearing on a regular basis, I do not think that there is any other manufacturer that competes on quality and price. Having said that the weak state of stirling has not helped us collectors. Maybe its time for a new company to start a UK opperation?

Not sure that people realize that a lot of manufacturers do not own the manufacturing plant. They along with other makers are all vying for production slots at the factory.

Dear collectors,
We spent the last two days meeting with one of our suppliers and they are in the process of packaging all of the club figures now. We will be getting the shipping information as soon as this step is completed. We are confident that these are some of the best figures offered to our club members in recent history and worth the wait.

The excitement I had for the 88 when I first saw the photos has completely evaporated since then.

I've been a member for a while, renewing every January and used to waiting for the club figure to come in. This year because I thought the newest figures were so exceptional I added two more to the list. I'm more than willing to be patient because I think it'll be worth it. I appreciate all the time you put into this hobby and the excellence you are putting into the varied aspects of it - administration, sculpting, manufacture dealing, your own H&A work that so many love. I'm sure everyone will be very happy when they receive the new figure(s). :salute::

All the best

Contacted the club in the UK, and told that the club figures are now delivered in 4 weeks..

I talked to Ken at the Toronto Toy soldier show earlier this month and they are still committed to the 88.

The site is a dealer site and is not the official WB site.

If you return to the home page there are items for sale but also other lists covering the WB redcoats and bluecoats issues - again not updated since 2014.

I heard from a TS dealer friend today, who informed me that a container from China which is transporting Britains TS, is unaccounted for. He did not reveal his source, but seemed pretty sure that this info is authentic.

I don't know what is going on with Britains, but right now I'm glad I didn't renew club membership for 2017. New releases have slowed to a trickle, and release dates are becoming meaningless.

I was heavy into the War on the Nile range and eagerly awaiting the Tell el-Kabir figures. Given the delays I have given up on this range and moved on to R4a and KC Middle East figures. I fear that the new, in relative terms, owners of Britains bit off more than they can chew.

Benjamin.
