Wow what a mess. Over 350,000 Mainers had been without power for 3-5 days due to a late winter storm and the devastation it wrought.

Fortunately, I purchased a Backup Generator this fall and I have been very comfortable with heat, lights, cooking and more.
BUT ... No phone of internet as many cell towers came down and 10,000's of telephone poles snapped like twigs.

We have 6 states who have send emergency elec. power company trucks and personnel to help out. The Maine National Guard has ben deployed in some areas to try to get food and medical supplies to those stuck with access to roads.

My area just got the power back … BUT … there is another storm now pounding the Mid-Coast with heavy rain and 45 - 60 mph winds. Already the outages are starting up again. My generator (a Briggs and Stratton) has been really pushing. I get 50 AMPS so I need to be a bit cautious on what I turn on.

Here a few picture around here.

I have lost 3 trees and have 200 billion sticks everywhere. .. Spring clean up is going to suck seaweed :mad:

COVID-19 and Maine winter storms …. I am afraid what is next {sm2}

Gonna' log off now to save AMPs.

Terrible! The next one is just hitting us in Massachusetts now - 55+ mph winds expected.

Gross!
We had a snowstorm as well but not quite as bad! 8" of wet, heavy slop has taken down a number of trees and branches though. Noticed my neighbor had one come down where they normally park in the driveway! Good thing their car was not there this time.

ooooh boy...with all that's going on...just what you need now to make you scream!

One of the driest April so far in Washington States, feels like early summer in the 60's...
