Does anyone know if there will be any new Collectors' Club figures for 2023? I want to renew my membership, but I don't want to until they have the 2023 figures posted on the website.

Hello,
Four new 2023 figures are scheduled to come in during the first quarter of the new year and we will be offering additional new Collector’s Club figures later during the year. We will posting images of the first four on our website very soon.

The 2022 Gloss figures for the Collectors Club, I picked them up, with some 2021 CC figures, from the WB stand at the London Show in Dec 2022. Not a member, have not been for years, as waste of money. They were selling the Collectors Club figures to anyone straight from the stand, as they have been for years, so waste of time being a member if you are in the UK. No events, discounts waste of time if you have to buy from the US, releases are very US focused, which i can understand as now a US company. Plus there is very little released when compared with the leading TS companies such as K & C, Thomas Gunn and John Jenkins Design.

Bachmann is our official representative in the UK and they attended the 2022 London Toy Soldier Show only showing new products. They do not sell at these shows and never have.
There is no prohibition from club members purchasing figures and reselling them and this is the only way you would have been able to purchase our club figures if you are not a current club member. You also discount the magazine and catalogs, which in addition to a figure many feel is well worth the value of membership.
I think most collectors know that W. Britain became an American owned company in 1997. I know this for a fact as I was one of the contract sculptors for the company starting that year.

I started my toy soldiers collection this year and I'm in my sixties. I joined WBritains Collector's Club with a view of supporting the industry. I'm very happy with the magazines and catalogues they have sent me, notwithstanding, my first collectors club miniature figurine. Since then, I've purchased alot more from the collectors club range. In my opinion this has been a wonderful adventure and I shall look forward to more years ahead being a member of the collectors club.

Thank you WBritains.

Cheers,
GH

I’m a Collector’s Club member. It’s a low cost way to support the hobby. I would join any similar club promoted by other manufacturers as well for the same reason.

Under Ken and Ericka's leadership, and with the effort of all there - Ted, Doug, etc., etc., Britain's has made a strong revival. Their relocation down to Chilicothe during the pandemic - and the impact of the pandemic itself on manufacturing, shipping, seems to have been surmounted, and Britain's has a lot of releases, both for Collectors' Club member and regular collectors.

As Ken has mentioned, the information in the Standard and in catalogs, as well as their own support of shows, demonstrates how they are "reinvesting" their time, money and effort in the hobby. Ken also didn't mention the annual Symposium for Collectors' Club members. Easier to attend for members in North America, but available to all current members.

As others have said, the price of membership is worthwhile for access to the support, friendship, and knowledge of all at Britain's, and certainly adds to my enjoyment of the hobby.

I agree with the comments made by others about the excellent work being done by the W. Britain team. The intent of this thread was merely to ask if new club figures will be available in 2023, since I'd rather postpone renewing my membership until I can see the new figures and possibly chose one of them.

Same, I have not renewed, wait for the 2023 club figures

me too won't re new this year until the new 2023 club figures are listed and then only if one of those is a period I collect

Current members should be receiving their Standard now. We will post photos of the first 4 new club figures on our website when we return to the office and additional new selections will be added as images are available.
All the best to everyone in 2023,

Love the new Britain's Collectors Club Figures that have been revealed on your website. I'll be picking up two of them with my next order. Thank you for some beautiful miniature figurines.
