21st Century - Chinese WWII Infantry are coming (1 Viewer)

Thanks for posting the photographs.

Given the theme, I wonder if these figures are aslo being sold in China? Certainly these figures have a very broad appeal and look great.

THese figures could also be used for the Chinese civil war.

Jo,
In all honesty I tend to doubt that they are for sale in China. There's a political slant here that I don't think the Chinese authorities would allow. Plus, there's not too many TS collectors in China as far as I've seen. Hope I'm wrong of course, and if there are any Chinese collectors looking in, then you are more than welcome to PM me.

Best Regards
H

If they are Nationalist soldiers, I don't believe you'll see them sold in the Mainland. Communist fighters, yes.

Wonder what these are supposed to go with. Are there Japanese that they are supposed to go with them. Wonder if you could use some K & C with them. Not sure if they camo was the same as in the island campaigns. Would tend to doubt it.

You could possibly touch them up with some red and then throw them into the grinder with the Chafee that was just released though these guys don't look "winterized" like the Chafee (assuming here you were maybe interested in a Korea dio).

SmallJoes.com has them in stock.... $7.99. Anybody have them or find them somewhere else?

I still haven't seen them in any stores in Australia, and not something most Aussies would collect anyway. Some of the figures appear to have red flags attached, so maybe they are Communist troops

Very very nice figures. They represent The Second Sino-Japanese War (July 7, 1937 to September 9, 1945) , I believe; a red sheet is tied at the handle of the machete in their back.

Having no idea how anyone can possibly know what their fellow countrymen might wish to collect, I'll limit my comments to the figures, which from what I can tell appear to be pretty good. Not really on my must-have list, but I would buy them if they were for sale in a shop I happened to be passing by. I think they offer definite conversion possibilities as well.
Cheers

I was limiting my comments to the figures. And after thirty years collecting in Australia I reckon I can say with some confidence that these figures will be poor sellers downunder.
